Guide booked another tour a few hours before we were supposed to begin - in our time slot. How ironic the fee is non-refundable, so he expected to be paid for two groups? I confirmed the tour a few days beforehand. The day before I was in meetings and the guide tried to reach me. Our appt was 2 pm. I called that morning, he was unavailable for our tour. Would’ve been one thing had I not paid in advance, had the first tour of the day, or had not already confirmed. He was supposedly checking what we wanted to see. Not a good business practice at all and unethical. If you’re paid to be somewhere for an appointment and they don’t show, you give a grace period and leave - it’s on them. But double booking several hours prior to the appointment and then telling us too bad, instead of admitting to the company or client he’d screwed up and honoring the tour we paid for. Of course, by that time I didn’t want to go anywhere with him, but only after he’d screwed it upkvscuba
