Tour in the heart of the Shanghai Tunnels!
Book a tour in the heart of the Shanghai Tunnels. Learn about Portland's history and our resident ghost Nina. Finish up with 3 tasters and 1 pint of our internationally award-winning beer.
Tour involves walking up and down stairs and maneuvering between pipes between the ceiling and floor.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Our tour guide Natasha was really enthusiastic, knowledgeable and funny. If there's a non-beer drinker, there is a choice of hard cidars. A little bummed because we didn't see any ghosts...they must've been shy. Definitely would recommend.

Seemed to be more like a basement tour versus an actual tunnel tour.. however I’ve no doubt the tour can be expanded somewhat.

Also, seeing the cells and hearing the harrowing stories of their captives had a visceral affect on us, especially seeing the glass and nails still scattered around the floor.

My guide was entertaining and the information she shared was well researched. Some parts of the tour is in enclosed spaces and can be a bit claustrophobic.

Some parts of the tour is in enclosed spaces and can be a bit claustrophobic.I would give the tour 5 stars for sure. Tour guide was knowledgeable and full of energy! The beer tasting was great but we felt very rushed as they were closing when we were done walking the tunnels and would not recommend trying the pizza. It tasted like cardboard
