Really enjoyed my trip to visit Hallstatt & the the scenic tour through the mountains. Great tour guide, Sofia. I think something that could improve this tour would be clearer highlights of what you can or should spend your time doing in Hallstatt - you get a generous few hours here to take everything in. You can do the skywalk, take a boat out on the lake, or take a tour of the salt mine. I didn’t do the salt mine tour but I think I would have liked too - but at 1.5hrs duration, it was a bit too long for me to do it. Maybe next time.Nice guide, cool views of old town. Totally recommend this tour if you want to spend one day near lake in the mountains.

The view from the skywalk was spectacular. The view from the shoreline was spectacular. Every angle was amazing! I even did the instagram picture. The best thing about this day trip was that we got very lucky with perfect weather and minimal other tourists. I was expecting giant crowds and instead it was just a sprinkling of people wandering around. I was able to wander at my own pace and enjoy the peace and quiet. You can hear the birds singing and it was just so tranquil. I highly recommend this daytrip. Our tour guide Eugenia worked quite well, gave us good background about history and all also information on the passing by cities. Our tour guide Eugenia worked quite well, gave us good background about history and all also information on the passing by cities. Unfortunately, the weather in Halstatt was super bad. We saw all seasons at once, with extreme showers, snow, fog and sun peaking in between. Food at Brauhaus Wien towards the way to Halstatt market and the delicious shaumenrollen from the passing by shops were worth a try. Since it was a weekend all shops were closed and the skyview had no clear view. All in all, enjoyed the day in the valley's of Budapest.Austria is so small but it's so full with things to see. From the architecture of Vienna to the amazing Alps - yes, as the tour name suggests, it is a fairytale.
