Stop At: Li River, East of Guangxi Zhuang China
The "fishing lights on the Li River" is part of the traditional lifestyle of a local Lijiang fisherman. Very early in the morning, the fishing man uses only a paddle, bamboo leaf, lantern, and his cormorant bird to catch fish. He doesn’t need hooks, or bait — just a mutual trust with the cormorant.
Our tour of Li-River sunrise photos or misty-morning photos around the Li River. You’ll be taken to the dock in Xingping. Enjoy the beautiful, peaceful river, as you take a ferry to sunrise spots nearby, for some fantastic photos of the sunrise. This stretch is one of the most spectacular on the river, incorporating the 20-yuan banknote view.
Itinerary:
3:30--5:00: Pick up at hotel lobby and drive to the Li-River.
5:00--6:30: Enjoy the Li-River sunrise with the fisherman.
7:00-8:00: Back to Guilin or Yangshuo hotel.

Når man starter turen er man i en stor afgangscentral, husk pas. Efter turen så vi Yangshou, som er omgivet af de smukke limestonebjerge, som rejser sig brat og majestætisk op af jorden. Besøget hos fiskeren i solnedgangen var magisk, Han vise hvordan man fisker med skarv eller net. I have booked without any big expectation, but Andy clearly understood my request that involved a 3.20am meeting that completely worth it. After a pick up in the hotel and a drive, we needed to walk through a dark side walk, to finally reach the viewpoint. We were just the 4 of us (our guide, the 2 of us, and our 3 years old) to experience a beautiful rising sun, with a sweet and beautiful fisher man that was making the show for us.. it is not necessary to explain the magic of the view, I wish you will experience it by yourself.. that was peaceful and so beautiful!! Then we went to another panoramic beautiful top viewpoint before driving back to the hotel. Our guide Kevin is a good driver and a very good English speaker, that stays available and helpful in the days following our tour.We enjoyed going to a remote area to watch the sunrise. There was no one else in the area we were in and it was very peaceful. A local fisherman posed for photos and showed how they would traditionally fish. It’s a great photo opportunity. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I am glad I trusted Andy and went ahead with this tour. I have photographs of an exotic ancient world that doesn't exist anymore. Andy took me to a beautiful spot on the Li River where we could get still water and nice sunrise angles. He also arranged for a very cooperative fisherman who played along my requests during the entire photoshoot. I am just an amateur photographer but all my friends are gasping over my photographs. Every penny has been well-spent on this tour. Also, Andy is a great guide. He knows the area well and is very helpful.We woke up at 3 am to do this tour and didn’t regret it at all. Andy, our guide, drove us himself. Andy was on time, professional, accommodating, and friendly. Most helpful to us, he recommended a fantastic breakfast place that fit our needs perfectly. We woke up at 3 am to do this tour and didn’t regret it at all. Andy, our guide, drove us himself. Andy was on time, professional, accommodating, and friendly. Most helpful to us, he recommended a fantastic breakfast place that fit our needs perfectly. His English is great. The tour itself means about an hour drive through highway first then backwoods roads. Then you walk a bit through the dark to the fisherman’s boat, and you ride the boat (still in the dark) to a rocky outcropping. Then, you wait until the sun rises and sit on a bench from the fisherman’s boat. It was spring when we did this, so we didn’t get a “pretty” sunrise with colors, but it was still an incredible experience. I would recommend bringing a camera that works in low light, a lot of our earlier pictures were blurry. Then you walk back to the car for about 10 minutes. It finishes around 8 am, you can easily do things later in the day. Personally, we took a nap and then caught a train to Zhangjiajie.
