Market of Ancient Olympia, Olympia, Greece
Discover the birthplace of the Olympic Games by first visiting the archeological site. You will admire the stunning view of the most famous monuments such as the ancient stadium, that hosted 40.000 spectators sited, the temple of Zeus and Hera’s and many more.

Stop At: Archaeological Museum of Olympia, Archaia Olympia, Olympia 27 065 Greece
where you will see the metopes from the temple of Zeus, the magnificent statue of Hermes of Praxiteles, the statue of Nike of Paionios and the helmet of Miltiades, a famous general from the Persian wars.
You can also visit the Museum of the History of the games where you can learn more about how the Olympic games begun and the sports they were included.

You will learn a lot about the production of honey and have the chance to try it as well.

Stop At: Monastery of Kremasti, Pyrgos Greece
We visit the monastery if you want to follow the tour schedule if not we can visit another place of your choice at the same distance. The monastery is located, between the villages Lanthi and Labeti on steep rock with an amazing view of the mountain Erymanthos and the forest of Foloi.

My daughter and I enjoyed this half day private tour with pick up from our cruise ship. Andreas arranged all of our details and transportation to visit Olympia (before the tour buses arrived) to enjoy the site early morning. We next visited the bee farm and enjoyed local honey and learned about the bees and their habitats. We then visited a local winery with a sampling of local wines and tasty treats before heading back to a wonderful beachside restaurant for lunch fresh from the fisherman's net! A wonderful day and would highly recommend- Andreas will take care of the details so you can relax and enjoy your excursion!Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Olympia was awesome, and the tour includes the other museum (which shows Olympics history), which most tourists miss. The monastery was breathtaking, and the honey farm trip was a lot of fun. This tour is not to be missed.

Andreas responded immediately to my request and was at the port for pick-up at the defined time. His car was clean, air- conditioned and in an excellent condition. The safe transfer to Olympia was very comfortable and Andreas explained a lot about the country, the history of Olympia and helped with purchasing the tickets for the ancient site. Drop-off and pickup at the site was with closest walking distance to the entry / exit and recommendation for Restaurant in Katakolon after returning from Olympia was perfect. Overall a great experience and relaxed compared to a crowded tour with the cruise ship buses. Thanks again Andreas!
