What to expect
You'll be picked up from your hotel in Sal and you will meet your instructor around 8:30am at the dive center and return to base around 1pm after 2 dives with 2 different tanks (12lt or 15lt) (2 dives - 1st ranging from 18 to 35m depending on dive spot and 2nd shallow max 18m). You'll be accompanied by up to five or six other divers with one guide as necessary depending on level of diver's experience. The dive usually lasts around 40-60 min. Hotel transfers are provided as a courtesy and are free of charge and all necessary equipment is provided.
Enjoy a family environment, where all the divers are considered friends. You will share the most beautiful underwater moments in Cape Verde. Everything will be provided with the highest regard for personal safety standards. Respect for the environment and a commitment to the local communities where the tour operates is of prime importance for the team always!
Equipment rental is not included - EXTRA 20€ to pay at the dive center.

- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- Evidence of dive certification is required from all divers wishing to participate in a certified dive
- Diving within 48 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor

The dive masters were very good people. Nice place for diving, there is a lot of life in Sal like turtles, sharks ( we saw onee!!), and lots of globe fishes!

The dive centre was conveniently located on the beach of the Melia Llana hotel where we were staying. I'm a Padi dive master with 600+ dives so I like the diving to be a bit more challenging which they said was no problem as they will divide the divers in 2 groups with the beginners in one group and the more experienced divers in another. The beginners would go a shallow dive site 3 grotto's and the more experienced to the Boris wreck conditions permitted, which is ok. The problem is they don't even check the conditions. Halfway to the dive site on a clear sunny day day with the right tide, and no waves,they'll say that the conditions are no good even without looking at the buoys or going into the water to check the current. They don't even make it to the divesite but just want to save money by keeping the goup together in one (shallow) dive site. If you make a comment about this on the boat, the atmosphere changes immediately and one local divemaster particulary (Laurent/ Cacao) even got verbally agressive with the divers onboard. The rest of my dives I did with another dive centre SCUBA TEAM , they're located right next to the pier in Santa Maria. This dive centre has 2 boats going out every day and lets every diver dive according to their level as it should be.Great dives. We booked 5 diving days. We dove with Cacao, Paolo and David. They tried to make everything convenient and safe. Safety was a priority for them. They adapted dives for sea conditions and divers experience. Everything was done without any stress or hurry. Great team always worried about taking care of the whole group and assuring its slogan. For us diving was really fun!

I received a lot of support which I value very much as a single diver and just at the beginning of my diving life, from everyone : I hope to be able to come back and dive again with Davi, a great instructor who made my life under the water much easier and more enjoyable thanks to some very useful pieces of advice. Romina, I will never forget your cake and hot tea (was is tea?) you offered us after my first double dive :-) I saw a large variety of sea life in different settings and experienced proximity of a large turtle for the first time :-) A fantastic experience all in all !
