This was our first coasteering experience, and the bar is now set very high! Our guide was knowledgeable and experienced, plus he was great at helping scaredy cats like me enjoy the experience and step beyond my comfort zone. This was our first ever experience of coasteering. We booked after reading great reviews online for barefeet. Booking was fairly easy, we booked 2 days ahead and managed to get on, the time wasn't exact as it needed to be changed to suit the tide times to be able to coasteer safely which was fine & nick emailed me to ask if the change in time was ok. When we arrived at the beach hut we were greeted by nick & noah who were very chatty & explained about the experience. When the other group arrived we were kitted up with wetsuit, shorts, tshirt, gloves & water shoes & helment. Signed some forms & then we headed off about 5-10 min walk to where we would be coasteering. Nick gave us a safety brief and explained what to do in emergency situations ect. We instantly felt like we were in safe hands, they also had safety equipment with them too. We started on some smaller jumps to get us used to the technique & to build up to the bigger ones. Initially I was a bit panicked in the water as the buoyancy was causing my legs to float up too. Nick reassured me and told me what to do to keep myself floating nicely while going from place to place. We had to do some swimming to get to further rocks also - I was a bit slower than the rest of the group but Noah stayed behind with me to make sure I got there ok & again reassuring me regularly which was nice. The climbing again I was fearful as I kept thinking I would fall back but Noah stayed with me while the others were faster which really helped keep me calm & safe while doing it. We also got to see a seal bopping up from the water which was awesome! We did many jumps which were so much fun considering I am afraid of heights so this really tested me. We felt safe the whole time, nick & noah were assessing each jump before we were doing them to make sure they were safe with the tides.. we were in such great hands & I couldn't recommend this trip enough if you are looking for something to do in Cornwall. Even if you are afraid like me, I promise by the end you will feel exhilarated. And not to mention some amazing FREE footage given to us from Nick's GoPro. Such a great memory we won't forget Thank you so much!!!! We will be recommending this to anyone we know that is going to Cornwall. My husband and 2 teenage boys did this and had an absolutely fantastic time. We had an incredible experience with the Barefoot Coasteering team. Nick and Noah were brilliant, friendly and informative. Me and my two boys (16&12yrs old) always felt safe and looked after. We were never forced into anything we didn’t feel comfortable doing. It was an exhilarating experience. Climbing and traversing rocks and diving into the sea swells. Even room for some fun facts and local history! Would definitely go back and do it again.Incredible day out coasteering! Have to give a big thanks to Nick and the team for such an incredible afternoon coasteering. Taking 15 lads on a stag do coasteering I imagine can be quite challenging. But fair play they took it with stride. They we're very friendly and had alot of patients whilst dealing with a few sore heads that morning. Thanks again for an incredible afternoon. Will definitely be hooking up with these guys in future if I ever land my feet back in Newquay
