Lovely food and a chilled time with great hosts. We had the morning trip, and visited the food market looking at the foods available and trying a couple too. Bought a couple of birds to free for good luck ( for us and also for the birds). Then off to Sai's village for some wearing tuition - where we completed a small coaster matt. Good fun and turned out not so bad! Then the food. We 'helped' to prepare sticky rice some delicious dishes which we then ate. *The food was sooo tastey* We then had some entertainment with traditional loatian musical instruments which we then tried to play ourselves. Great fun. Said was a great host and we had a great time. I would recommend this trip to all. The village was so peaceful, we learnt about bamboo and Loas culture as we as having a really delicious meal. Probably the best food I've had so far. A lovely break from the temples and the city. The highlight of your trip to Luang Prabang. Somsay(Sai) is such an amazing host. He picked us up at our hotel and took us to his place where we learned about life in the village, then learned to make a bamboo coast, followed by a cooking class with him and his wife. My kids had a blasted learning how to sort the rice and making a coaster. We were all vegetarian in my family and he was very considerate and we made an all vegetarian meal! My son(9yo) and dtr(11yo) had a such a great time and loved the dancing at the end of the night! Highly recommend doing this tour with him, good for all ages. He works so hard to make the experience the best possible! Thank you!! RajeevWe had a very active and interesting experience.
