An amazing 25 mile downhill bike ride using our top of the line 2020 Trek hybrids with actual biking helmets...NOT full face motorcycle helmets that all the other companies make you wear.

There is always someone in the right spot telling you where to go next and with water and snacks. You get to travel at your own pace with your own small group. The day we went there were 7 other riders. Not a big tour group like others we saw. The smaller group really was appriciated. You can tell Matt loves what he does and wants everyone to have a great time.We highly recommend this tour, the equipment is great and comfortable. Matt and his team are fun and put our safety first. We had the best experience with Maui Bombers yesterday! We did the Haleakala Unguided since we like to go at our own pace and it did not disappoint. Alex made sure to wait for us at different stops on the path so that we never felt nervous. He was also super friendly and gave us great tips for our visit to Maui. And Matt, who makes awesome muffins, made sure to get some awesome photos of us for the gram when we were biking down! The path itself was unbeatable and a once in a lifetime experience. The equipment provided were high-quality Trek bikes and comfortable helmets. We only had sweatshirts on, but they supplied us both with windbreakers which was super helpful. They provided snacks and refreshments on the drive up to the mountain and made sure we had the most comfortable/fun experience. I would recommend this tour company over the others because you get extra attention and can go at your own pace at a speed you feel comfortable in. 5/5 would recommend. It's timed to miss all the traffic so you feel like you have the mountain to yourself. The weather was great that day, about 50 degree and dry at the start, this can change. I had the proper clothing that day medium jacket and zip off pants, But it is going to be cool at the beginning ,better to be over dressed and leave a it in the van if you don't need it. Also Matt has extra clothing for all conditions. Bikes are newer Trek models, with disk brakes and very well maintained. I live in Seattle and am a avid biker, you must put this on you bucket list!! Matt has some terrific home made coconut muffins make sure you give them a try!!Honestly can't recommend Matt and Maui Bombers highly enough.
