We were picked up promptly at the cruise terminal and taken to a new, Mercedes 16-seater. Our tour guide, a nice, elderly gentleman, gave us a history We were greeted by our tour guide as soon as we stepped out of the cruise terminal. We were taken to a late model Mercedez 16-seater and our tour left the cruise terminal promptly at 8 AM. The tour guide gave us a quick lesson of Israel with visual aides as soon as we hit the road. That was helpful. The rest the the tour went smoothly and we were dropped off at the cruise terminal without incident. Now the negatives. There were several issues that made the excursion less enjoyable. Our guide is soft spoken and with large crowds and tour groups constantly nearby, it was nearly impossible to hear him. Even in the mini bus, we couldn’t hear him because we were seated in the back. It would’ve been a more engaging experience if listening devices were provided, so that we knew where we were going and the significance of what we were looking at. It was a missed opportunity. Lunch was not provided and it would’ve been nice if we were taken to a unique restaurant for a cultural experience. Or to a commercial area where we can have a few options. Or a restaurant that locals go to. Instead, we were taken to a so called “restaurant” inside a strip mall with nothing else nearby. This restaurant obviously only caters to large tour groups. It is a very basic dining hall with rows and rows of long tables. You can have a choice of fish, chicken, or beef, along with a tiny tiny salad bar, for a $22/person. Needless to say, the driver/tour guide must get huge kickback for this overpriced meal. I feel like they are more interested in lining their own pockets then providing a good experience. At the end of the tour & before we were dropped off. A fellow traveler asked “what about Baha’i Gardens?” The tour guide insisted it is not part of the tour even though it is clearly on our itinerary and the image of Baha’i Garden is used on TripAdvisor as the main attraction. At the end, the tour guide decided to swing by, let us off the bus for maybe 30 seconds to snap a few pictures from about a block away. I tried to persuade the guide into giving us 10-20 minutes to walk the garden as described on the itinerary, but he repeatedly say it is not part of the tour and rushed us back to the cruise terminal. We finished the tour well before 5 PM (<9 hours). The tour description says it normally lasts between 9-10 hours. All aboard was 9:30 PM. We were in no rush to head back. The only reason we missed the chance to visit the Baha’i Garden was because the tour guide didn’t want to do it. I have to say I was extremely disappointed to say the least, as the gorgeous picture of the garden is what attracted me to this tour. This was our second tour with these folks and they knocked it out of the park again! This was our second tour with these folks and they knocked it out of the park again! We had Dikla and Akhmed again and they gave us a truly wonderful day that was safe, educational, and memorable. Their easy going nature and right balance of talking versus let us enjoy things alone was perfect. So grateful for these two tours since they let us see everything we hoped for within the time constraints or our docking times for the cruise. Cannot recommend highly enough!!This excursion was amazing, but who made it a fantastic experience was the tour guide Alex. We were a group of 10 passengers, and he was always providing information along every step of the way, very knowledgeable in all aspects. From all the excursions on this 7 days trip he went above and beyond! I which I would have scheduled Alex for Istanbul, but next time we will request him. He was phenomenal! Thank you Alex!We had an excellent tour of Biblical Galilee with Guided Tours Israel. We had an excellent tour of Biblical Galilee with Guided Tours Israel. Our guide, Mickey, did a wonderful job of giving us the history of each place that we visited and moving us from place to place so that we didn't miss any of the important sites. I highly recommend Guided Tours Israel not only for the great tour that they planned for us, but for the price and communication before the tour that made the day go very well.We were on 2 full-day shore excursions (Biblical Galilee and Jerusalem and Bethlehem). We were on 2 full-day shore excursions (Biblical Galilee and Jerusalem and Bethlehem). From the outset, Leo was wonderful – always professional, quick to respond to emails, very organized and detail-oriented. Despite our cruise ship having to change itineraries and dates at the last minute, he quickly accommodated us. The Holy Land has been on my bucket list for almost 40 years. Given that we were docked in Haifa for only 2 days, we wanted the most comprehensive overview possible. Guided Tours Israel successfully did that for us! We were extremely impressed with our guide Michal. Often, I have difficulty understanding tour guides in countries for which English is not the primary language. I understood every word that Michal spoke! He was very knowledgeable and not only provided a wealth of information about history, culture, and religion, but also told personal anecdotes that made us appreciate what sites we were visiting. We recommend Guided Tours Israel with unbounded enthusiasm! In January 2020 we went on two day trips, from Queen Mary 2, with Israel Guided Tours. I cannot recommend Leo and Yonathan enough. In January 2020 we went on two day trips, from Queen Mary 2, with Israel Guided Tours. I cannot recommend Leo and Yonathan enough. Leo got back to my email within a day with suggestions, ideas and times. The tours were really reasonably priced and we could pay on the day. Leo sent several emails with detailed instructions. On the day of the first tour Yonathon met us at the port and we had a fantastic day with so much information given and the most wonderful places visited. Day two was the same.
