Overview
On this 2 days tour, you will visit the small town of Dong Van. Along this route, you will come across breathtaking scenery of the Ha Giang province. You have the option to sleep in a homestay or in a hotel. We provide friendly English speaking guides who can tell you more about the area during your tour. There will be loads of stops to make beautiful photos.

What to expect
Day 1: Day 1: Ha Giang City – Heaven Gate – Yen Minh - Dong Van
Stop At: Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, Sa Phin, Ha Giang 310000 Vietnam
Day 1: Ha Giang City – Heaven Gate – Yen Minh - Dong Van
During your first day you will see a big change in the scenery when you drive into the mountains before the town of Tam Son. This is the first peak of what will lie ahead the rest of the tour.
The tour takes you through the Karst Geopark. The Dong van Karst Plateau is a major geoheritage sight in Vietnam.
You will see a lot of rice fields, thousands of limestone rocks and magnificent views. People will be working on the land and you can catch a glimpse of life on the countryside.
Before driving in the town of Dong Van you will make a stop at the residence of the Vuong family, which is still called “Palace of Hmong King”. The trip continues to Dong Van town. Here you can walk around the town, enjoy dinner and relax.

Day 2: Day 2: Dong Van –Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Yen Minh - Ha Giang City arriving around 5p.m
Stop At: Ma Pi Leng Pass, Ha Giang 310000 Vietnam
Day 2: Dong Van –Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Yen Minh - Ha Giang City.
On this day you will also stop at the famous Ma Pi Leng pass where you can see the Nho Que river underneath.
This pass is well known and most tourist call this the most beautiful part of the loop. Just after the pass you will take another road back to Yen Minh. This road takes you through equally beautiful landscapes as the first day. From Yen Minh the route takes you back to Ha Giang City.
During the tour you will see the different cultures and hill tribes such as the H’mong tribe living in the Ha Giang province. Their beautiful clothes are easily recognizable. You will be impressed along the way by all aspects of the trip, the stunning views, fascinating countrylife and beautiful cultures. The whole trip is an immensely rewarding experience and will give you life-long memories.

She asked for a driver, and was asked to have a go, reluctantly she did, and she couldn’t control the bike and hit a car. Knocked 3 teeth out snd cracked her cheek bone. Please do not do this trip, the safety is terrible

Amazing trip around the mountains of Ha Giang! Having never been on a motorbike/scooter before, I always felt safe with our drivers and was able to take in the absolutely stunning scenery! Generally, we were looked after really well, there was plenty of delicious food at all meals and the overnight stay was at a lovely hotel with stunning views. Overall I would definitely recommend this as a great way to see the beautiful mountains of north Vietnam! (Incl. Being able to see China at points!) Also I would recommend getting in touch with the tour company via WhatsApp before your trip - we did this and they arranged bus transfers from Hanoi airport to Ha Giang, overnight stay before the tour started and then also a bus transfer back to our Hanoi hotel that evening. This did cost extra but was all extremely reasonably priced and made the whole trip run really smoothly for us.Ha giang loop was on my son’s to do list in Vietnam. The providers of the trip was so so helpful and very responsive to all my questions on WhatsApp and was able to sort us sleeper buses to and from ha Giang as well as a room for some sleep and a shower which was well needed before and after the trip! All the easy drivers were amazing but special shout out to my driver Duy for being the best photographer and also for being so friendly and making me feel so safe on the back of his motorbike! My partners driver, Due (I think that’s how you spell his name) was also fab! Not only was the route great and an unforgettable experience but the accommodation and food was so good as well! Thank you for the best 2 days ❤️
