A beautiful historical house that should be on your destination list when you are in Georgetown, Penang. The price is worth the experience. The ticket can be purchased online or on the spot, however, please note that they only have scheduled tours at 11 am and 2 pm. The guide explained everything in a very detailed yet entertaining way, so you feel like you can absorb the story easily. It's a beautiful house. The narrator will explain it in detail. But there are docents only at eleven o'clock and two o'clock in the afternoon.Besides, there are too few places to visit, because the rear areas have been changed into hotels.

But the tour could have been done much better. Poor sound quality. Even with SOP, could place microphone inside the mask for better quality. Tour starts promptly on time, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early.

The hotel structure itself did not stand out much for me but, the color of it, which is indigo is what makes it unique though I think in Penang colorful establishments is a thing. It is definitely worth checking out esp. if you go there during Monsoon season. What is impressive is the tour because of the guide. The Chinese lady guide (i think Lorenz is the name) is very knowledgeable and speak good English and the way she is narrating is very passionate. She will get your attention. I did focus though I am not really someone into history and art. Kudos to her!A charming house with so many stories behind it. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the place.
