Stop At: Bumbu kalniņš, Kurzeme District, Riga, LV-1067, Latvia
The tour will start at Bumbu kalnins(Bomb hill) fire observation tower, which has panoramic platform, which is open for visitors. There is wide panoramic view to Riga and surrounding forests. Bomb hill is the historic place, where was located the command post of the Latgale Division of the Latvian Army. On November 1st, 1919, Colonel Krišjānis Berķis signed the order to start the operation to liberate Pardaugava, then on November 11 Riga was liberated and till 1st of December whole Latvia was liberated from Bermont army. The tour will go through pine tree forest, you will see Bullupe and Lielupe river and one of biggest dunes in Latvija- The White dune, which is 17m high, near the river Lielupe. White Dune is one of the most beautiful Jūrmala’s protected nature objects.

The first thing that struck us about this experience was the stunning routes we explored. As we effortlessly glided along on our e-bikes, the picturesque landscapes of Latvia came alive. Safety was clearly a top priority on this tour. Before we set off, everyone was provided with a helmet, ensuring that we all felt secure throughout the journey. Additionally, there was a comprehensive briefing on how to operate the e-bikes, which made even the least experienced riders in our group (like me) feel confident and at ease. Our knowledgeable guide added an extra layer of enrichment to the tour. Not only did they lead us through the breathtaking landscapes, but they also shared fascinating insights into Latvian history and culture. Learning about the region's heritage while surrounded by its natural beauty was a truly immersive experience for our entire group. Highly recommended!Never have I tried an ebike. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to ride the ebike for the first time. The instructions provided by our guide were clear and got me comfortable with the ebike in no time. The electric assist made pedaling almost effortless, allowing me to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Our route led us through beuatiful forest trails and we visited white sand dunes that ar located at the shore of Lielupe river. I had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique way how to enjoy outdoors near Riga!
