With our Manatee Guarantee, we take the risk out of your tour by guaranteeing that you’ll have the opportunity to swim with manatees. If you are unable to swim with manatees during your tour, we will fully refund you. Please note: the Manatee Guarantee does not cover situations where a guest is unable or unwilling to participate in the activity or fails to adhere to instructions and rules given by River Ventures crew.

My son had done this tour previously and he suggested we do it together since we were all in Florida at the same time. I had always wanted to swim with manatees. We did the tour with the scallop hunting too. We arrived at 9:30 and watched a short video about swimming with manatees. Then you are ...
My son had done this tour previously and he suggested we do it together since we were all in Florida at the same time. I had always wanted to swim with manatees. We did the tour with the scallop hunting too. We arrived at 9:30 and watched a short video about swimming with manatees. Then you are fitted for a wet suit for the manatee portion. You take a short bus ride to the water. We only rode around for 5 minutes before the captain spotted a manatee and we went into the water. We lucked out it was 3 manatees and a baby. The baby was quite inquisitive. You aren’t allowed to touch the manatees but if they touch you you’re okay. The baby was holding onto my husband and son’s arms and “gumming” them. It was so much fun. Then we were off to the gulf to hunt for scallops. You can choose to scallop or snorkel. Our in water guide and captain were very laid back. They both gave us a lot of information about the area and history, the staff was top notch. We had Mike in the water and Troy as our captain. My son ended up with a bag full of scallops. Mike will teach you how to shuck the scallops. We had a great time on our excursion and woukd highly suggest them to others. Plenty of onsite parking.Shannon_C

Absolutely amazing. Sara & JJ were very friendly and knowledgeable. They found the best clear spot where we got to swim with 3 playing manatees. We were very lucky and appreciate them taking care of us. Thank you again Sarah and JJ hope to see you this winter !!

We got the best tour and treatment by our guide Shanna and captain Rayan. We started by getting good information about how to behave around the animals. it helps you feel safe and ready to experience the large and calm animals. We were lucky on the day we were out and luckily didn't have to sail that long before we met the fantastic manatees. Our guide Shanna was so cool and made sure we all had a unique experience with the animals. Captain Rayn was ready on the boat and had a great overview of where the animals were moving so we always had the opportunity to be near them. We had plenty of time in the water with manatees and we really felt that our guide and captain had plenty of time and energy for us and our group. If you are considering a guided trip to experience manatees, choose River Ventures, you are guaranteed to have a great experience of a lifetime!!!!!
