The best all day adventure combo on Rincon de la Vieja Volcano that includes ziplining, horseback riding, river tubing, full lunch, hot springs, and volcanic mud bath.
Ziplining
The course takes you into a steep canyon where you will go down 8 zip line cables, 18 platforms, a hanging bridge, rappel, and a tarzan swing! (rappel & swing optional)
Horseback Riding - 45-minute ride through the forest viewing the local flora and fauna of the volcano
River Tubing - You will have the time of your life bouncing down Rio Negro’s crystal clear and fun rapids in your individual rafting “tube” for over 5 kilometers.
Lunch includes a salad bar, many choices of entrees and sides, dessert bar, fresh juice, coffee and tea. All dietary resctrictions can be accommodated
After lunch you will driven to the Hot Springs & Mud Bath. Surrounded by tropical dry forest, the Río Negro Hot Springs feature ten pools with waters heated naturally by the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano.

Hot Springs & Volcanic Mud Bath
After lunch you will driven to the Hot Springs. Surrounded by tropical dry forest, the Río Negro (Black River) Hot Springs feature ten pools with thermal waters heated naturally by the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano.The soothing mineral waters are crystal clear and all natural, and the river flows through the pools constantly refilling them with water. Relax and enjoy luxuriating in our healing waters. You can also try our volcanic mud “bath”, where you smooth volcanic clay mud all over yourself like a spa “masque, ” then after it dries, wash it off with a cool river water shower. The hot springs water will feel great afterwards!

The course takes you into a steep canyon over a turbulent river, where you will zipline, rappel and rock climb, cross hanging bridges and ride Tarzan swings. You will go down 8 zip line cables, 18 platforms, a climbing wall, a hanging bridge, “via ferrata” (cable) rappel, and a tarzan swing!
Horseback Riding
After ziplining, you will return to the tour base to prepare for a 45-minute horseback ride through the forest viewing the local flora and fauna of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano

Fabulous day!!! Everything was perfect!! Out of 5 stars I give it a 6!!! Was so much fun and so organized. Can’t decide if I enjoyed the ziplining or the tubing more. The lunch was also top notch!!! Don’t miss this one!!!

This tour was so amazing and action packed day! Ziplining was an experience that I will never forget, zipping through the canyons! The river tubing was very exciting, the best experience thus far!! Hector our tour guide was very knowledgeable and leaned a ton of new facts about Costa rica!

This excursion was absolutely everything on our travel bucket list and more! I traveled to Costa Rica as a single mom with a 15 year old daughter and 11 year old son. A medium sized air conditioned bus picked us up early from our resort and we travelled to pick up more guests. One stop where we were picking up guests was a tourist location where we were able to buy cold water, snacks, souvenirs, etc. (this was an added bonus we were not expecting). Our tour guide and bus driver were very friendly and the guide gave us information about the area where we would be doing all of our excursions. We arrived to a building/tourist shop to start with zip lining! There was a washroom and changerooms here, water and hand washing stations. We were fitted in our zip lining harnesses and helmets and the staff were incredibly friendly. For $40 USD, a photographer will follow your journey through the zip lining, tubing and horseback riding and give you all of the pictures and he even took video for us too! The zip lining was so much fun! Through tree tops and then through rock canyons with water below and a beautiful waterfall. It was so amazing! Be sure to look around you while you are in the air! I saw the most beautiful HUGE blue butterfly while zip lining, it honestly all looked like a fairy tale of some sort. After zip lining, a bus took us to the area where we would start tubing. We were fitting in life jackets and helmets and given a tube each. This tubing adventure was my favorite part and never seemed to end! All of our group was laughing and helping each other when we were stuck on a rock, and the guides come along with you to help you out and they were a BLAST!!! They are so funny and friendly. There were parts that were fast and parts where you could relax. Just amazing! We then were taken to lunch at a restaurant where the food was fantastic. Gave me a chance to charge my phone too. Horseback riding was next and it was an enjoyable short ride along a trail that the horses are used to. My son loved riding his horse and really enjoyed this part! Last we were taken to some hot springs. Some of the hot spring pools were actually too hot for me, but there is one that is bath water warm and I loved relaxing in that. We covered ourselves in mud and even laid in the cool river water just below the suspension bridge. Awesome end to the day! This excursion packs in SO much fun and is worth the price. Your kids will absolutely love it! Mine are already begging to go back and do this again!
