Loved this trip. Everyone from the tour guide, the driver and the staff on the houseboat did an amazing job. The lunch on the houseboat cooked on board in I might add a very small kitchen was absolutely delicious and so authentic of the area. Well done.

Our guide Tommy was tremendous. He had stories to tell, information to provide, and he did it all superbly. Six of us were taken by minibus through the crazy traffic to the back waters of Kerala, where we boarded one of the traditional houseboats. Three staff were there to look after us - and they did that so well. We sailed for two and a half hours..... seeing life at the waters edge. From washing, to boat building, from bird spotting to learning about local geography, it was excellent. We had lunch on board, and were treated royally..
Our return journey to Cochin was via fish farms, fruit trees and more new stories. We walked to see the fort, the Chinese fishing nets where we brought in the catch, and the spice market. It was a wonderful trip.
This delivered as promised and made for an excellent morning and afternoon in Kerala. The first part of the day was spent seeing some typical tourist spots at the same time as other tour groups, but then we were taken on a 90 minute bus ride to the houseboat, where we were fed a very nice meal...
This delivered as promised and made for an excellent morning and afternoon in Kerala. The first part of the day was spent seeing some typical tourist spots at the same time as other tour groups, but then we were taken on a 90 minute bus ride to the houseboat, where we were fed a very nice meal and got to experience a leisurely tour of these waterways. It looked like the official cruise ship shore excursion was offering the same basic thing, but this one was way cheaper and I can't imagine it being any better. Our guides were extremely professional, knowledgeable, generous, and friendly. I strongly recommend this offering to anyone with Kochi as a port of call.
