What to expect
After meeting your guide in central Barcelona, near Palau de la Musica, take a leisurely stroll to Eixample to discover a tapas gem, one of Barcelona’s Modernist-style bars. The bar serves up delicious small plates of Catalan favorites such as pa amb tomàquet (bread with olive oil and tomatoes) and patates braves (potatoes with oil, red pepper and chili, served with aioli). Watch the chef prepare the food, and then sit down to savor a plate and a drink while hearing tales about Catalan cuisine.
Walk off your snack with a stroll to Born, listening to your guide talking about Barcelona’s history, food and culture as you go. Your destination is the neighborhood's locally loved ham shop, where huge legs of serrano ham hang in the windows. Head inside and sample some of the best meats, made from acorn-fed pigs, and sample popular cheeses such as Manchego.
Continuing your stroll through Born, pass Barcelona Cathedral (Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia) and the old Roman city walls, and then wind your way to the heart of the Gothic Quarter to Plaça Reial, a bustling nighttime square near La Rambla, where the highlight of your evening awaits -- a flamenco performance inside one of the oldest flamenco bars in Barcelona!
Sip a welcome glass of cava while soaking up the authentic atmosphere. Then, grab your seat and enjoy the show, which includes all the traditional elements of a flamenco performance, including dancing, singing and Spanish guitar songs. Sip on sangria and dine on plates of gourmet tapas as dancers perform their fiery Spanish flamenco moves right in front of you.
Your evening experience finishes after the show, but you're welcome to head to the roof terrace or visit the stylish bar for drinks at your own expense, if you wish.

Jordi was our guide. Jordi is a very common name in Spain so don’t mistake him for another Jordi working for a different tour company. Per the tour description we were to have a guided walk & have tapas and beverages BEFORE the Flamenco show. When Jordi arrived he stated that we would walk to the show first & then have tapas afterwards. When we told him that the website stated the reverse he said it’s been this was for over a year. If that is the case- the description of the tour should be updated to manage expectations. Half of our party took a taxi to the meeting place because one person is 86. After they arrived we walked 25 minutes back in the direction of their hotel to the Flamenco show. They could have walked from their hotel to the show & met the guide there. The description of where we were to meet our guide left us we the impression that we were meeting where the Flamenco show would take place. It is not. Was very confusing! The meeting place has a rolled down door with a dull washed out sign overhead that is hard to see and read! They need to update the website description & add better signage. Jordi was a good guide. He spoke perfect English & was well versed in the sights he was pointing out on our walk to the show. He connected with each person asking questions and answering our questions. The show was very entertaining! We received a drink at the show. After the show we walked to a Tapas restaurant. The tapas were good & we again received a beverage. After the tapas Jordi dismissed us with directions on how to head back to our hotel.valentinegbv

Jordi was fantastic! We loved how he connected with each guest on the tour and didn’t grow tired of all our questions. He made time to talk with and learn about everyone, including the teenagers. The food and drinks were all delicious and plentiful.

I wouldn’t waste your money on this experience. Our group were dropped at the flamenco show with no seats available to find out it hand been over booked. No offer of a refund. Only to be told to ‘shut up and leave’. Absolutely appalling service. As for Andy? Who even is Andy? Avoid at all costs...

Our experience on this tour far exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Sergio, was knowledgeable about the history, the sights, architecture, contemporary issues, and food. We thoroughly enjoyed and were amazed by the Flamenco show, and the restaurants selected for tapas were local places with excellent food and service, places we never would have found ourselves. He was engaging, informative, pleasant, and organized. He gave us a Barcelona experience far beyond what we hoped for. Many thanks and we highly recommend it to others considering a good way to experience Barcelona beyond the usual touristy options.
