We organised a private car through VM CAR to collect us from our hotel in Hoi An at 6:30am after reading reviews that you should arrive early for to avoid the crowds. We arrived at 7:30 and there were no crowds at all. We purchased our tickets at the gate with no issues. By the time we caught the cable car to the top it was about 8am and it was quite pleasant to walk around. We had plenty of time to go up to the french village and spend some time wandering around and have something to eat and drink. The weather was about 15 degrees cooler than in Hoi An which was a nice change after the heat. I would definitely advise arriving early as by about 9am the bridge was packed and every cable car coming up was full to capacity. The cable car ride alone is awesome, and it only gets better as you get to the top. Allow 2-3 hours here, there is plenty to see, however the crowds are massive, so very early morning is wise.

We visited on a hot sunny day with excellent views. was it worth doing ? Yes, I would not have missed the opportunity.. however there are caveats. The positives are, on a clear day the views are superb. it is one of the longest cable car rides and holds a record for this and steepest ascent, so factor that in!. We arrived when it opened, but wow does it fill up quickly! We booked a private taxi to arrive as it opened as they are relatively cheap, about 1 hour from Hoi An. There is no way of seeing this bridge without visiting this sort of theme park. The bridge becomes busy extremely quickly and in truth there appears no quiet time, even first thing. The whole area fills quickly with coach parties and when we visited, it was congested, with sharp elbowed tourists, however wear a smile and it all becomes tolerable. The views are worth it, I thought little of the theme parked French village, but of course as Europeans we have access to the real thing.
