Overview
Our family has dedicated our time to creating a whale watch experience that allows you to Join The Pod and be welcomed by the whales into their wild environment. Our experience, passion and knowledge of the cetaceans we work with is unrivalled as we bring world class cetacean education and viewing to our guests.
Whale Watch 1 is Australia’s newest, state of the art vessel and our family has included in the design learnings from our many years of whale watching to create a world class Whale Watch vessel.
Whale Watch Queensland is part of the Whale Watch Family Pod, a sixth generation Australian family who has grown up on the oceans around Australia. Our family whale watch all year, every year in the waters of Australia including our summer spent with the Orca (Killer Whales) and early Autumn with the worlds largest creature, the Blue Whale. Winter and Spring is then spent with the migration of Humpback Whales and Southern Right Whales on both the east and west coast of Australia.

This was one of the best experiences I have had whale watching. I am an avid nature buff and have whale watched all over the world and extensively in Australia but in the in-depth knowledge Whale Watch Queensland has and shares with their guests is truely amazing, I never thought a breach was a part of the language of the whales and now I understand these magnificent creatures so much more. The boat is brand new and the skipper, crew and Abby the whale watch dog were amazing how they knew where the mother and calf would show up and the cheeky escort would appear on cue, it was very educational, very personal experience and would highly recommend. The larger boats are fine but very crowded and you know you are just a number and generic information, this was educational, interpreted whale language as it happens which makes it very personal and I cannot wait to do their Orca tour. So much more than a whale watching tour, these guys do know whales as that's all they do all around Australia and I was hoping for something special and they delivered. Thankyou Whale Watch Queensland
