Glacier Hike at Solheimajokull in Small Group (6 pers max)
Overview
It is an excellent choice for experiencing the magical Sólheimajökull glacier in your own pace and in a very small group. You will get to see and photograph unique ice formations, jagged ridges, and color of blue-ice and black sand from the past volcanic eruptions. During the hike, you will learn more about the glacier and have lot of fun! The hike is suited for almost everybody

What to expect
Itinerary
Once we all gather at Sólheimajökull parking lot, we will take a 20-min to the spectacular glacier’s tongue where we will do a safety briefing instruction and help you gear up.
The hike is relatively easy and can be done by almost anybody. We will be exploring the glacier for around two hours. On the top of the glacier you will be able to experience the world like never before!
Then, we will head back to the car where you can relax, enjoy Icelandic snacks, and have a warm cup of coffee.

When I contacted Hyperboreo to do a Glacier walk/ice climbing I wasn’t sure if it would happen as I reached out super last minute. But Evangelos was quick to respond and got us scheduled right away. The tour was amazing and I felt like Evan really catered to us and our abilities! I’m trying to learn more about anchors along with working to advance my climbing skills. Evan not only took the time to go over the anchor system with me, he also taught me a useful climbing maneuver! 10/10 would recommend for a great experience!
