Overview
On our Glacier Explorer flight you'll fly over the Franz Josef Glacier and then into the Southern Alps to enjoy the included 10 minute snow landing for photos. Total experience time approx. 25 minutes.
Please allow an extra 45minutes on top of your flight time to allow for checking in, transport to helicopter, loading, unloading and to return to our office.

- Most travelers can participate
- Please let us know if you have limited mobility e.g. injury, arthritis or recent surgery? There are two high ladder style steps into the helicopter. This information could effect what helicopter we fly you in.
- Our helicopter seats are 40cm wide. If you would like extra space or are wider than this we highly recommend booking a comfort seat which guarantees an empty seat next to you.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking

Views were incredible and was an awesome flight. However our pilot Dion was extremely unprofessional and pushed my partner on the back, making him almost fall forwards when at the snow landing. When asked about it, Dion challenged my partner and threatened to push him again. He also slapped my hand as I went to exit the helicopter and was aggressive in nature. Very upset by this experience and will not return to the same company. Meghan and Aaron at reception were awesome though! Lovely to meet them.Amazing experience. Flying right up to the Franz Joseph Glacier then of it to land on the snow and have a 10 min experience. Lifelong memories. Dion our pilot was amazing.
