We were lucky enough to be the only ones on this half day tour. The meeting point is easily visible from the ring road. We had the most brilliant time with Steph, she equipped us with everything we needed to feel safe on the glacier (crampons, an axe, a helmet and a harness and even a better pair of boots). We headed out on an exciting journey across the glacier, packed with tons of knowledge Steph shared with us about mountain guides and glaciers in Iceland. The time flew by as we got to see some jaw-dropping creations by mother nature while having the most interesting and lively conversations about life in Iceland. We cannot thank Steph enough for the most heartfelt hours spent with her on the glacier.Incredible tour all around! Incredible tour all around! Kasha was super knowledgable, considerate, accommodating to our group and a great guide for our day on the glacier. She took us to an amazing ice cave, a hike on the glacier and into an amazing mulan on the glacier. This was a highlight on our trip to Iceland and would absolutely recommend to anyone considering it! 10/10!The walk over the glacier was amazing and getting into the caves is simply breathtaking. Our guide, Kasia, made us feel safe and confortable all the time. She explained us a lot of things about the glacier and we even got the chance to do some ice climbing.

The experience was amazing. The guide took us for a tour on the glacier, where we explored two ice caves with no tourists except for us (a group of 6). The guide was extremely nice, talked to us about the glacier, explained us a lot of interesting things and he was really attentive for our safety. The tour was supposed to be between 5 and 7 hours, but ended up being almost 8 since we had plenty of time to go around and explore the ice caves. We even had lunch inside an ice cave!! The hike is not hard at all and I think it's suited basically for everyone who is willing to walk around 10 km (there are no steep routes to walk). At the end of the day we visited the sapphire cave, and although there was not too much light as the sun was going down, the colors were beautiful and there were almost no tourists, as we were the last ones. I think it has been our best experience during our holidays in Iceland, and I would highly recommended this tour to everyone!we contacted the provider two days before the tour and he replied immediately. contact was nice and easy. tour started at 9.15 in the morning, meeting point was easy to find next to a gas station with a diner. our guide was Pat, very nice guy with a huge knowledge about the history, sagas, glac...
we contacted the provider two days before the tour and he replied immediately. contact was nice and easy. tour started at 9.15 in the morning, meeting point was easy to find next to a gas station with a diner. our guide was Pat, very nice guy with a huge knowledge about the history, sagas, glaciers and iceland in general. was nice talking and listening to him! our group size was 9 people, which was quite good and not too big. Equipment was in good shape, Pat explained well what and how to use it. The tour was great, with amazing view all over the glacier with beautiful pictures spots. For the half-day tour you should be in good shape otherwise the shorter tour might be better. But anyway you should do it! One of the best experiences we had in Iceland! :-)It was my first contact with a glacier and it was excellent. The route isn't very intensive, almost everyone can make it. It was my first contact with a glacier and it was excellent. The route isn't very intensive, almost everyone can make it. The guide, Daniel, knows well the area and told us a lot of information about formation of the glacier, how it evolves and how it changed on the past few years. He extensively answered all our questions. We got crampons, helmets and axes (although finally the last ones weren't necessary). There's even a pair of half-domesticated crows on the route ;)
