It's incredible how the best tours run by Abraham are those that don't go to scenic, pretty places but that take you to contested ones. I did the Hebron tour about 3 years ago, and the Gaza Border tour last Monday. I had high expectations for the latter one and they were all met. Our guide, Elyahu, did an incredible job in recalling the history of the conflict. His explanations were clear and to the point. He answered all questions. He did his best to explain both sides of the conflict - the Israeli and the Palestinian one. It was a lot of information, but delivered perfectly. I absolutely recommend this tour to anybody who wants to REALLY learn an important part of the history, culture and way of life of this part of the Middle East.If you're like me and wanted to know more about Palestinian perspectives and life in Gaza today alongside the Jewish Israeli perspectives of people living in the south close to Gaza this is the tour to do. If you're like me and wanted to know more about Palestinian perspectives and life in Gaza today alongside the Jewish Israeli perspectives of people living in the south close to Gaza this is the tour to do. Eliyahu leads this tour which he's designed himself and lends his immense expertise and local knowledge to, living in a town in the south himself. which is amazingly well designed in terms of the many places we go and opportunities to see very close-hand the situation in Gaza, the impact of the wars and intifadas on both sides of the border. We met some amazing local people during the day, at the various sites, both Palestinian and Israeli. It's a long day, so bring water, a hat, and a few snacks to sustain you either side of lunch. This is my second visit to Israel and the tour is certainly one of my most memorable and important experiences.Took the Gaza Border Reality Tour with Eliyahu McLean and had a really good experience. Took the Gaza Border Reality Tour with Eliyahu McLean and had a really good experience. He was patient, thorough, knowledgeable and friendly. He showed us really current places involved in the conflict, like spontaneous conversations with Gazans at the border crossing, as well as the house in Sderot that was hit by a missile a week before my tour. Fantastic experience for those interested to know more about the different actors and the history surrounding the Gaza conflict. This tour gives you a lot of information of gazas history and what it is today.eliyahu is amazing.its a long day but it's worth every minute
