Gallipoli Inland and Surroundings Full-Day Bike Tour
Overview
We will cycle towards Sannicola, in the hinterlands: here we will visit an ancient underground oil mill of XVII century. Crossing the landscape, between vineyards and dry-stone walls, we will see the historical centre of Galatone. Than back to the see, to enjoy the wild nature of Porto Selvaggio: here we will walk in the pinewood before to have a swim and a nice picnic.
We will go back to Gallipoli riding along the coast.

Gallipoli is a fisherman town, that had his glory thank to the export of olive oil that back in the medieval time was not sold for food purposes but for another reason and we will let you discover which!

We will stop in this little village to visit the underground olive mill from the 17th century.

Along secondary roads, among olive trees and dry stone local constructions (trulli and pajare), we'll reach Galatone with its imposing Norman castle, the Church of the Crucifix - masterpiece of Leccese baroque style - and the noble palace.
Stop At: Porto Selvaggio, 73048, Nardo Italy
Porto Selvaggio, is a well preserved natural park with clear water where it is impossible not to jump in! There are sources of spring water mixing with the sea water. We stop for a swim and a lunch break.

Giornata indimenticabile con un gruppo di amici per il mio addio al celibato. Volevamo fare qualche attività piuttosto che il solito relax al mare e non potevamo avere un'idea migliore. Il tour è molto facile, tutto pianeggiante e per la maggior parte del tempo si sviluppa su strade quasi deserte. Le biciclette erano nuovissime e tenute benissimo, comode anche le borse a disposizione per mettere dentro qualsiasi oggetto. La guida Giulia è fantastica, simpaticissima, conoscitrice del luogo e attenta responsabile del gruppo. La sosta nella tenuta DonnAnna mi rimarrà nel cuore per sempre, mi aspettavo qualcosa di "commerciale" per il turista medio invece mi sono dovuto ricredere e noi tutti abbiamo goduto di un trattamento incredibile da mattina fino a seraLa grande professionalità, la squisita cortesia e la ricca offerta di itinerari fanno di questa organizzazione la numero uno tra gli operatori di bici turismo.
