ITINERARY:
You’ll be picked up at your Puno accommodation at the beginning of this full-day excursion to Lake Titicaca. An English-speaking guide will accompany you as you travel to the lake’s islands of Uros and Taquille.
Uros is a group of islands whose buildings are made entirely of tortora reeds. It is home to a small community that dates back to pre-Inca times. Spend some time with the local residents before continuing on to Taquile – an island whose culture is more closely related to that of the Aymara people of Bolivia.
You’ll enjoy a locally prepared lunch on the island before visiting the local cooperative and seeing first-hand the skill of the local weavers.
Return to Puno and to your lodge after a unique look at the cultures of these islands.

The pick up and return to the hotel meant an easy trip. The boat was comfortable, had a loo and some sat on deck. The visit to the floating island was organised so it was just one group per island and we were made to feel welcome by the delightful islanders. Wish we could have bought their sewing...

The visit to the floating island was organised so it was just one group per island and we were made to feel welcome by the delightful islanders. Wish we could have bought their sewing, you need to travel to Peru with empty cases!! The meal on Tequile island was excellent and the walk well worthwhile. A super daymszpak

Aventure-se um pouco mais! Presenteie-se mais uma vez! Quando estiver em Cusco já tendo estado em Machu Picchu não perca a oportunidade de conhecer o Lago Titicaca. Tudo bem que Puno não está muito perto de Cusco, mas com certeza valerá a pena! Chegando em Puno, a desilusão e aquela pergunta fatí...
Aventure-se um pouco mais! Presenteie-se mais uma vez! Quando estiver em Cusco já tendo estado em Machu Picchu não perca a oportunidade de conhecer o Lago Titicaca. Tudo bem que Puno não está muito perto de Cusco, mas com certeza valerá a pena! Chegando em Puno, a desilusão e aquela pergunta fatídica: o que é que eu vim fazer neste lugar?, pois a comparação será inevitável: sair do acolhimento, da agitação e da muvuca de Cusco para chegar na acanhadíssima (para não dizer feia) e sem atrativos Puno. Calma... Lembre-se que o seu destino é o Lago Titicaca e não a cidade de Puno! Não seja sovina! Já que gastou tempo e dinheiro para chegar até Puno não queira economizar no passeio no Lago. Não compre o passeio de meio-dia de “barquinho” até a Ilha de Uros, pois você se arrependerá! O ideal é o de um dia e meio: manhã do primeiro dia - Isla Uros; almoço e tarde do primeiro dia - Isla Taquile; pernoite e manhã do segundo dia - Isla Amantani. Mas se o problema for tempo e/ou dinheiro recomendo o de um dia inteiro (manhã - Isla Uros; almoço e tarde - Isla Taquile; retorno por volta das 15h30), visto que o custo benefício comparado ao de meio-dia é incomparavelmente melhor. Fiz este de um dia inteiro que valeu muito a pena, porém, ficou aquele gostinho de “quero mais”. Tanto é que quando retornar ao Peru pretendo voltar ao Titicaca fazendo o passeio de um dia e meio.
