It was great to experience some of the history of the Dominican Republic in this tour. Our tour guide Darius was fantastic and brought life, insight, and a bit of humour to the tour. Because it was 2.5 hours from our resort in Punta Cana, time only allowed to see a small part of the city, and it would have been brilliant to see more. However, it just means we have an excuse to come back. One of my favourite parts was lunch with great local food and dancing. Fantastic experience and definitely recommend.A long day tour, Lots of time spent getting there and getting back. Two stops for shopping and one stop for buying local coffee and chocolate. Really good day on this tour, Our guide was very pleasant and his history of the island was very complete. We saw lots of the old town and it was really great to have the headphones which saved worrying about hearing anything or being really close. Lunch was very good with a good mix of food at the buffet and dancers. we were a slightly bigger tour than I would normally like as a full coach but with the group having headphones it was ok. The only downside was that we were picked up super early and it took nearly 2 hours to pick everyone else up before we even got going towards the capital. Be prepared for a long day.
