Having two tour guides (Betty and Benny) take us on a private tour was the perfect way to see Rila, the cave and the pyramids. They did the treks with us and we felt like we were all old friends. Gave us a lot of useful and relevant information about the sites as well as Bulgaria in general. We strongly recommend this tour and cannot say enough good things about the day.We went on two really good day tours from Sofia and Kiril was really helpful with sorting out our bookings and gave some great advice on what clothing was required with our trip being in November. We went on two really good day tours from Sofia and Kiril was really helpful with sorting out our bookings and gave some great advice on what clothing was required with our trip being in November. Our guide and chauffeur Orlin was fantastic and took us to some great restaurants at lunchtimes and took us off the beaten path on some additional little hikes which were very interesting. On the first day we did the Prohodna (The God's Eyes), Saeva Dupka cave and Glozhene Monastery tour with clear blue skies and beautiful scenery. Make sure you go and see the cliff-side chapel at Prohodna which was a very fun little hike at the end of the cave. On the second day we did Rila Monastery, Stob Pyramids and the cave of St Ivan Rilski and in complete contrast to day one woke up to a lot of snow on the ground. The snow did reduce the visibility quite a lot but this was OK as it made everything you could see look stunning. Rila Monastery was quiet this time of year and Orlin provided us with lots of information about the monastery. The two hikes were challenging in the conditions but this all added to the fun. I would have no hesitation in using Azimut tours again in the future and I would recommend them to anyone!
This was a great day tour. Small group made the trip feel very personal and the guide was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The combination of culture, history and outdoors made this an excellent day trip from Sofia.

We joined the Rila Monastery, Stob Pyramids and St Ivan Rilski Cave day tour from Sofia with Azimut Tours. We had excellent communication with our guide Kiril before the tour to arrange pick up from the hotel and on the day of the tour he was friendly, professional and full of interesting information. It felt like we were spending the day with a friend. There was plenty of time at each stop to enjoy the sights and scenery and I learned a lot about Sofia and Bulgaria. A positive and memorable experience.
