We had booked a guided tour from Egypt Fabulous Tours for four people: boat trip on the Nile from Assuan to a Nubien Village, a visit by Taxi to Abu Simbel followed by a guided trip in Cairo to visit the pyramids and the museum. Our two days in Cairo included lunch. We stressed that we were not interested in a shopping tour. The very short boat trip to the Nubien village showed the Nile from its best side but the visit of the village with caged in crocodiles was disappointing. We did not meet any locals and walked back to the boat through a shopping street offering the usual stuff, not made by locals. Next day, our guide was not allowed to accompany us into the Abu Simbel Temple. Had we been told that in advance we would not have undertaken the streneous taxi travel from Asuan to Abu Simbel which was 3 1/2 hours each way. Our guide in Cairo was very knowledgable but we were not happy to spend time in parfume and papyros production places which were focused on selling. (Luckily, we had booked an additional Nile cruise with a different company with an excellent organisation and guides which made up for our disappointment). It was an amazing experience but l was so disturbed when l was told to pay for a cart ride around the pyramids, when l thought it's part of fully paid package.500 Egyptian pounds, was a rip-off .even worse, after the tour,l was taken to a jewelry shop where they charge in American dollars instead of...

A Great day was had with guide Amr from Egypt Fabulous Tours, very professional & knowledgeable. On pick up Amr explained the itinerary and as we had previously visited Papyrus museum and Perfumery in Luxor, we stated that we would like to spend more time at pyramids and museum which he was more than happy to do. Throughout the day he provided information at a level consist with our needs. An excellent lunch was provided at a mid way point. All arrangements worked well we were contacted the day before to confirm pick up time etc (ensure the number in your booking is available to be contacted) We were driven by Ahmed who again was professional and smith and safe transport. I would definitely book with EFT again.
