Stop At: Olesko Castle, Olesko Ukraine

First, visit Olesko Castle. A grand building dating back to the 14th century, The castle was made famous thanks to the king of Poland; John III Sobieski who amassed an impressive art collection on the castle walls. It now serves as a branch of the Lviv Art Gallery, making the gorgeous collection open to the public. There is also a small park and beautiful lake near the castle.

Stop At: Pidhirtsi Castle, Pidhirtsi 80660 Ukraine

The second stop is Pidhirtsi Castle, an exceptional creation of the Renaissance period. The barricades around the castle were constructed in the 17th century to fortify this palace against enemy armies. Visit the gorgeous gardens and towering entry gates that surround the castle.

Lunch is not included in the tour, but you will have time to buy lunch at one of the castle restaurants and purchase souvenirs if you want to.

The final stop of the day is Zolochiv Castle. Constructed in the 17th century, this sprawling castle encompasses two palaces; the Great Palace of the Renaissance period and the Chinese Palace. One remarkable feature of the Chinese Palace is a stone patio designed for relaxation and meditation, and covered with delicate flowers. Explore the mysterious stones built into the castle with encoded carvings, which according to legend, bring well-being and luck.

The castle has very little left of its original artifacts, the view of surrounding villages and countryside is absolutely beautiful. You can walk along the wall surrounding the castle for a better view. Lots of history due your own research before visiting.
