Overview
Take a private tour to discover the stunning Rioja wine area. Discover La Rioja's wines region, visiting two different wineries learning about the wine-making-process, and of course, tasting their wine with some local product. We will travel for one hour to the Rioja region, where we will begin to tour the wineries, learn about the wine-making process, taste wine at each winery, and do much more. We will also visit, LaGuardia is a charming medieval town that was established in the tenth century. And the trip back to your accommodation will take another hour. Remember: All our tours are private, so we are flexible to add, remove, or change anything.

Second stop, Second winery - here we will have a walk through the winery see how the work and then going to the tasting area and try their interesting selection of wine.

Medieval village of LaGuardia:
Situated on a hill and surrounded by a 13th century wall, we will visit one of the more beautiful Medieval Village in Spain with a natural balcony towards the wine region.

Matteo was personable and very knowledgeable on the Rioja region. He was on time picking us up from Bilbao. We really enjoyed the wineries that Matteo selected for us and lunch in Laguardia was great. We would highly recommend Matteo as a guide to others.

My husband and I prefer doing private tours, so we booked this wine tour and were very happy with it. Our tour guide picked us up at the arranged time at our hotel. The transportation was very comfortable and our driver drove in a safe manner. We drove through the countryside and saw the Rioja ...
My husband and I prefer doing private tours, so we booked this wine tour and were very happy with it. Our tour guide picked us up at the arranged time at our hotel. The transportation was very comfortable and our driver drove in a safe manner. We drove through the countryside and saw the Rioja Wine region and he explained as we were traveling. We visited two wineries which were both extremely different. The first one, Lozano, was my favorite because we saw the vineyards and had a tour of the winery. We even had a chance to pick a few grapes and sample. After the detailed tour of the winery and learning a lot about the Rioja region and the wines, we tasted several different wines and had a few local foods. We then went to the second winery which was much different and were able to sample a few of their wines. All of the wines we sampled at both wineries were very good, but of course, some were better! After the wineries, we visited a small town with an amazing view of the countryside. There we walked through town and stopped at a local eatery where we were treated to a fantastic lunch, again with some local treats. Our guide was absolutely fantastic. He delivered us back to our hotel safely. I highly recommend this tour if you like wine and private tours!candelabelenf2023

Mateo’s tour to the Rioja wine region was a fun, casual experience, like an old friend sharing their favorite places. His knowledge of the region and friendly personality makes him easy to talk to as you ride through the countryside. The visited wineries are chosen carefully and give you a taste of traditional Rioja wine as well as the emerging non-traditional wine that have a personality as interesting as their makers. Finally, the lunch of local Pintxos and walk through the nearby town was a wonderful end to the day. Never in a hurry, we got to appreciate the architecture as Mateo shared his knowledge of the history of the town and region.
