Overview

It is without a doubt the most famous spa in Uruguay, and one of the best known and most exclusive in Latin America.
The natural beauty of its geography is combined with an unparalleled urbanization in the country.

Punta del Este is a seaside resort located 130km from Montevideo.
A thin peninsula that juts out into the sea and is the official limit between the Río de la Plata and the Atlantic Ocean.

In this private tour we will visit its most characteristic and important places, as well as other not so well-known points that only the locals frequent.

This destination really includes 32km of coastline between what is Punta Ballena and Manantiales.

This is your Tour, with your times and preferences, I am your guide to take you to the best places and advise you, but you are the ones who set the pace and what you prefer to dedicate more or less time to.
If they like to stop, we stop, if they want to continue, we continue.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Punta Ballena, Punta Ballena, Maldonado, Maldonado Department

Here begins the area of our walk, a high point of rocks that juts out into the sea and offers a spectacular view on both sides.
Here is the famous Hotel Casapueblo Museum, built by the artist Carlos Páez Vilaro.
I clarify that the duration of this point includes 120 minutes of travel to this place from the start.

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

Pass By: Casapueblo, Mar Mediterraneo, Punta Ballena, Maldonado 20003 Uruguay

The entrance to the place is optional since many times the number of people means that you have to wait a long time and lose time for the rest of the tour.

Stop At: Las Grutas, Ruta 10 Km 123, Punta del Este 20100 Uruguay

To the East of Punta Ballena, under the slope and cliffs, is the small beach and resort of Las Grutas.
A world apart isolated from the rest of the environment with hidden coves and caves.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Playa Mansa, Maldonado Uruguay

Already entering our main destination, the first thing we have is Playa Mansa.
We will walk along its boulevard making stops to go down to the beach, walk along the wooden walkways, take photos or whatever you like.
We will also enter the residential neighborhoods that accompany the coast.

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Puerto de Punta del Este, Punta del Este Uruguay

One of the most characteristic points of the place and most visited.
Luxurious yachts and sailboats are combined with artisanal fishermen who return from the sea and sell their fish.
Due to the latter, large sea lions always come to wait for the fishermen to throw them leftover fish, so they are on the pier a few meters away from people, like "posing for a photo".

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Avenida Gorlero, Punta del Este 20100 Uruguay

local mall

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Punta del Este, Punta del Este, Maldonado Department

At the end of the walk through La Mansa and its surroundings we will be entering the Peninsula, which is the origin of the spa.
We will visit its historical places such as the Lighthouse (you cannot enter) and the Church of La Candelaria, as well as its shopping center and famous Gorlero Avenue.

We will cross the entire Rambla de Circunvalación passing through the port on the west side, accompanied by the view of Isla Gorriti and on the east the beaches of Los Ingleses and El Emir.
Punta de la Salina, its end, separates the Río de la Plata from the Atlantic Ocean and is the southernmost point of the country.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Mano de Punta del Este, Rambla General Jose Artigas Brava Beach, Punta del Este 20100 Uruguay

Before entering Playa Brava and its surroundings, the first stop will be at the famous sculpture of Los Dedos.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Playa Brava, Vaz Ferreira #33 y Barranca Abajo Edificio Scorpio, Punta del Este 20100 Uruguay

Playa Brava begins to the East of the Peninsula, with other characteristics that differentiate it from La Mansa.
After visiting Los Dedos, just like we did at Playa Mansa, we will tour the entire boulevard and the adjacent neighborhoods such as San Rafael, Rincón del Indio, or Bevery Hills, making as many stops as you like.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: La Barra, La Barra, Maldonado, Maldonado Department

Thus we will arrive at the mouth of Arroyo Maldonado where on the other side of it is the La Barra spa.
We will cross it through the famous undulating bridge and visit the commercial center, the small beaches and its narrow streets.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Manantiales, Manantiales, Maldonado Department

After La Barra, there are a series of famous beaches very frequented by the "movida" in summer such as Bikini, Montoya and Manantiales.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Jose Ignacio, Jose Ignacio, Maldonado Department

After Manantiales it is 20km along the coast to reach José Ignacio.
I cannot assure you that there will be time to visit it as well, but that will depend on the times with which we have moved and your particular interests.

Duration: 2 hours
