I highly recommend Sebastian's unique tours in Costa Rica. Our wishlist included Zip Lining, rainforest tour and swimming in a waterfall. Sebastian helped us plan an itinerary to do all these and more with our own personal guide and transportation. We did not want to go in a large group and spend time doing activities that we were not keen on and going with Sebastian gave us the opportunity to customize our days in Costa Rica. At our own pace without being rushed. The rainforest tour was spectacular and our guide was a walking encyclopedia on the flora and fauna. He helped us get National Geographic quality pictures of Sloths, Howler Monkeys, Frogs, Toucans. Sebastian also organized an afternoon of sailing on a Catamaran that included snorkeling, visit to a pristine secluded beach and fantastic views of the sun setting over the Pacific. He personally picked us up at our hotel and kept us entertained throughout the journey. You can't go wrong if you go with Sebastian!Leannavosper077

We had a fabulous tour with Sebastian, wonderful waterfalls, an amazing part of rain forest with sloths and monkeys! Louis and Harrison were amazing tour guides, so knowledgeable! Had an amazing day!!

We went to an amazing waterfall which didn't have that many tourists so was lovely and peaceful. The water was crystal clear. There were changing rooms so it was very convenient. Next we drove to the rainforest and a local guide took us on a trek. We'll, what can I say? Not only did we see a sloth, we saw 5! All in different parts of the trail and one was moving up and down his tree, not just asleep! Absolutely amazing. We also saw 2 different types of toucans and a red eyed tree frog. It was more than I had hoped for and it certainly ticked some boxes on my bucket list. Sebastian was a true gent all day and I certainly recommend him.therealHYC

How did Did find Sebastian? Trip advisor! He had more reviews and more 5 star reviews than the other tour companies I was looking at. He was easy to contact and communicate with. With Omicron everywhere, We were seeking a private tour with my wife, child and Grandma. Most other tours were large groups or if desiring a private group tour including transport, the price was more than we were wanting to pay. Sebastian was able to work with us to will custom craft a day for us. Tell him about what you are looking for, your interests and he will make it happen. He is upfront and transparent about pricing, but you will find his prices competitive and usually much less than the bigger travel companies. He also offers shuttle transfers. Keep in mind he has a small independent “lean”operation which is how he is able to offer the excursions at a competitive rate. so he doesn’t have a scheduler or secretary to book things, you talk directly to him. Towards the end of the day he may take a few minutes to set up coming tours, but this did not detract from our experience. All that said we booked 4 days total with him. Day 1 (december26) was the all day Base of rincon, horseback riding, zip line, lunch and hot spring spa. He picked us up from our hotel in playa Hermosa (which is a bit out of the way compared to Tamarindo or the other well known resorts) He accompanied us on this trip. He surprised my son with small gifts as it was the day after Christmas which was a very thoughtful gesture. My son really wanted to try riding a horse, but I had concerns that my 5 year old was too small and too young to be able to participate, but Sebastian assured me that he could. Sure enough my son did fine, but Sebastian accompanied us on horseback along side my son to make sure he was okay. At the end of our summit to the begin the zip lines, my son did feel not ready to zip line, even though though the park guide offered to ride tandem with him. Sebastian brought him down back to the park entrance and stayed with him so my wife and I could enjoy the zip lines. Lunch was included and delicious - I chose the Casado with pork. Sebastian also took a TON of pictures for us during our activities, which was a great touch. It was an excellent day Day 2 we wanted a private beach tour 1/2 day as we were in a smaller beach without a rental car (they were all sold out and even if we could get a rental we weren’t too keen on driving ourselves on those roads contending with the local drivers in that traffic) He picked us up from up from our hotel in a tour van and took us to flamingo and tamarindo beaches. It was great to have the van driver drop us off in the beach - it would have been a nightmare to find parking in our own if we had a rental. He watched our stuff and found us a nice spot to chill in the shade. The only thing better would have been if we had access to beach chairs. He took us to a beach front restaurant for lunch which was reasonably priced with excellent food. As we had a great two days we bought him and his wife lunch. Day 3 palo verde boat tour. Sebastian was unable to accompany us this day or the next day. His guide Abraham picked us up and took us on thi river boat cruse. He was very knowledgeable. As advertised we got to get VERY close to both monkeys and crocodiles along with many tropical birds. My son absolutely loved it. At the end we capped off with Lunch at a very good local Costa Family run restaurant. Day 4 private Boat tour to secluded beaches- Sebastian arranged a friend of a friend to take us around. Unfortunately Sebastian was in able to come with us. But the boat picked us up at our out-of-the way lesser known beach close to our hotel. We got a tour of the bay and the first stop was a secluded beach that had crystal clear emerald water. The water was like looking through clear glass with a light green hue. There was a beautiful little sea cave on this beach. We then went to a different beach that was better for snorkeling- snorkeling gear provided. The highlight among all the fish was seeing a yellow puffer fish, which I first mistook for an abandoned yellow rubber bath toy only to find out it was a live fish! Careful though at the second beach a patch of mini jellyfish that were itchy until could get free of the swarm. My only criticism is that the boat tour was a bit shorter than the 4 hours advertised. All in all we had an excellent time on our first visit to Costa Rica during the activities either hosted or arranged by Sebastian and would definitely book with him the next time we are in Costa Rica - we will definitely be back! We were looking for private activities during the pandemic , and Sebastian was able to tailor out excursions to our needs at a very reasonable price point. There is not a whole lot of info on the web regarding specifics of what Sebastian offers other than his TA reviews, which initially was the only thing that made me a little apprehensive, but once I got to speak to and know Sebastian I found that my hesitation was for naught. He is trustworthy and reliable and we have complete faith and confidence in him. Thank you Sebastian for a wonderful time! We look forward to our next trip to Costa Rica and hope to see you again soon!KELLYKELSON73

We hired Sebastian for three full days to take us on customized tours. We wanted to do certain things and didn't want to do other things that were offered on the combo tours with all the other local companies. Sebastian DID NOT disappoint. We saw everything we wanted to see, did everything we wanted to do and the cost was comparable to booking just standard tours. He picked us up at the airport, took us to lunch, then to the resort. He then took us around the town to show us some local items and then to the grocery store for a few items not in our room at the resort that we wanted. He is very knowledgeable about the are and I even changed up a few things at a moments notice and he never complained or said it was not on the itinerary. He would stop wherever and whenever I wanted to take a photo, shop or get something. We even went to Walmart there. Highly recommended and very affordable. We were able to do a weeks worth of excursions in 3 days with him. No large bus to ride on with a bunch of people and wait for everyone, stay at the locations as long as you want and leave when you want. The decision to book custom private tours was hands down the best decision we made. In three days we: jet ski'd, ATV'd, ziplined, shopped in Tamarindo, jungle boat cruise, Rainforest tour- SAW 4 Sloth and a baby one, hot springs, mud bath, moonshine making demo, waterslide, waterfalls and had a wonderful lunch each day. He is a very fun and outgoing person with a big personality and we loved him and his wife. All of the fees were included in his price per day and was well worth it. We will see him again in September 2022 when we will be going back. We made a friend for life and couldn't be more pleased with what he was able to book for us.
