We enjoyed the tour of historical and archaeological sites of Athens and the Acropolis with Tenya. We opted for a private tour guide of the sites. It was very personal and the timing was perfect because we avoided the crowds and were able to get some awesome photos care of Tenya. She know the history of ancient Greece and the perfect spots to take photos. Then our 2nd tour guide brought us to the Temple of Poseidon and the Cape for a wonderful lunch at the Akrogaili for seafood. The wait staff was lead by Skoufos provided us with some great traditional Greek selections. We even made it to the highest point in Athens with a 360 degree view of the city. Thanks. I rarely provide reviews but with the service I received this time, it was a must! Mario was an exceptional guide. Not only did he know his Greek history, mythology, along with modern day Greece, his mannerisms made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and excited throughout the entire tour. Mario was extremely attentive and accommodating. He has the knack to learn moods and behaviors amazingly quick. This is a gift from the gods for sure as we all know how a trio of NYC gals having JUST arrived in a red eye flight can be. Ha!Dmitri was AMAZING!! Highly recommend this tour!! The personal van picks you up from hotel and drops you off! Very convenient!

This tour is absolutely worth the money. We did this tour as part of our honeymoon after spending 4 days in Santorini we only had one day in Athens to sight see. Our tour guide, Mario, took us to all of the most important landmarks and sights in the city. He picked us up promptly at our scheduled time in a luxury car and tailored the tour to anything we wanted. He was very professional, highly knowledgeable, and accommodating every step of the way. We added the lunch option as well and that was definitely worth it! We had a really nice lunch right in the coastline looking out over the water. We chose not to add the extra tour guide for the acropolis and acropolis museum and I think that was probably the right choice. There’s enough plaques and info to read that it wasn’t necessary. Buying the tickets for both places is also easy to do online so you won’t need to wait in that line. If you’ve got limited time in Athens or just want to make sure you hit all the best spots in comfort and with an experienced guide to answer your questions then definitely do this tour!
