This hot spot should definitely be on your "must see" list! This beach is all about action and daring stunts on surfboards! Definitely worth stopping on your way to Hana! Lots of turtles too.

Stop At: Ke‘anae Point, Maui, HI
The Ke’anae Peninsula is a dramatic half-mile long massive finger of newer lava sticking out from the cliff line of the Hana Highway. Well before coming to the turnout, you will have ogled at the scenic peninsula from the many lookouts along the road.

Stop At: Wai'anapanapa State Park, Hana Hwy. near mile marker 32, Hana, Maui, HI
Waiʻanapanapa State Park, located at the end of Waiʻanapanapa Road off Hana Highway, features some of the most unique sights you’ll ever see. As home to one Maui’s volcanic-sand beaches, you’ll have the chance to experience a black sand beach alongside the ocean.(swimming/hiking/pictures)

The Kipahulu area is incredibly beautiful, peaceful and tranquil. It very well could be the most remote spot on the island, as it is populated with the fewest people.

Experience the park for unobstructed views of the entire Maui valley.

The road on the back side was very rough but worth the bumps to see the historical stops we made. Our driver Jerry was very knowledgeable about Maui island history. We enjoyed our amazing day and amazing Jerry!!!!!We enjoyed our driver Scott. He was a good driver very professional and he entertained us with narration along the route. The scenery was beautiful, the food was very good we had a lovely time.
