When I realized that Arches had implemented a timed ticket entry reservation system 2 weeks prior to our trip I panicked, but fortunately found Good Trip Adventures. We had a wonderful day hiking in Arches with Alex. She checked in prior to the trip to plan the day and led us on hikes that were great for our family and appealed to our kids (7-14 y.o.) and their varying abilities. She was warm and pleasant, super patient with the kids, very knowledgeable about the park and gave us wonderful recommendations for things to do on our other days. Plus it was a treat to have all the driving/lunch (which was simple, but delicious) + snack planning taken care of by someone else for a change. Thank you, Alex!!!Where do I start? Where do I start? It was truly a memorable trip to the Arches National Park! Our guide Alex is the best, she picked us from our Salt lake city hotel early in the morning, provided us with really tasty snacks, sanitizer plenty of water and drinks to keep us hydrated on the way to the park. She was super friendly and was more like a friend to us. She took us to all the spots that we had asked for since this was a customized trip. She made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip, educating us about the different aspects of nature related to the park. Some highlights from our trip included the Double Arch, San dunes arch, Landscape arch, La Sal mountain viewpoints. We had a vegetarian lunch which we really loved after some good hiking. Thank you so much Alex. It truly was an unforgettable trip! PS - Give Alex a raise now!!! Finding Good Trip Adventures was like finding a treasure box at the end of a long, complex period of trip planning. Hiking with an 8 and 10 year old, I had lots of questions around the difficulty and “fun features” that are hard to get from a book. With a route and campsites planned, I first booked a 30 minute itinerary consult. Before the consult, I received restaurant and grocery suggestions, as requested. Then, a quickly scheduled call with Matt, a super experienced guide, who talked me through route suggestions for a two week trip with such efficiency and expertise that we had age/experience appropriate hiking plans for every day! I loved the expertise so much, I hired GTA to guide two full days, one in Arches and one in Zion. Alex connected early enough to set a plan, expectations and answer questions. Our guided days were packed with fun, and easy for me - every detail taken care of. She had so much information on the formation, history and culture of the area. Alex was flexible with our changes and anticipated issues that saved us a lot of time. Hiring GTA was the best decision of the trip!Alex and Matt were such wonderful, thoughtful, and knowledgeable guides! They took such good care of us, and told us all about the places we visited and the plants and wildlife we saw. I had so much fun, and look forward to my next trip with Good Trip Adventures!
