My mom, sister and I met up in Paris for a girls weekend. We ended up booking this tour after looking at many other tours because this one had the best reviews. We only had another girl on our tour which made it 4 girls and Luiz. He really lived up to our expectations, despite the bad luck with windy weather that day, we had the most incredible time! I would highly recommend this tour. We will definitely be doing his champagne tour the next time we are in the area!My wife and I had the most fantastic time on this wine tour. What an incredible trip. We visited 3 very different wineries--two in North Burgundy and one in Chablis. Our guide, Luis, was fantastic. It was very apparent that all the wineries knew and respected him. The first winery on our tour was a little mom and pop operation dating back hundreds of years. The hosts were the owners! They took great pride in showing off their winery and having us taste their wines. You could tell that they loved what they did. The second winery was a little bigger, and gave us a great artisanal lunch of local meats and cheeses. At both these two wineries, we were well received and treated like family. Both wineries offered numerous types of Pinot Noirs, which were all exceptional. The last winery was a larger operation in Chablis. It was very good wine in a cool location. Overall, we loved the trip and Luis. This post would be way too long if we even tried to describe half of the amazing experiences we had with Luiz during our wine tour! This post would be way too long if we even tried to describe half of the amazing experiences we had with Luiz during our wine tour! To start off, Luiz is a level 3 sommelier who taught us so much about wine during the trip, and was by far the most knowledgeable person about wine we met during our whole trip). From all this experience, he has such great relationships with all the producers we met. He ensured we visited a mix of different sized producers from different regions in north burgundy, and so it was fascinating to see how the styles of larger names vary so much from more local family run producers. The wines themselves were a mix of whites and reds, with quite a few grand crus mixed in! We got to visit the cellars of all the wines we tasted, and at one, we even got to taste the wine straight from the barrel! Our last tasting took place in this amazing 12 century cellar built by monks. This day was our favorite of our week in France, thank you Luiz!Wonderful trip. The tour guide was amazing and was very knowledgeable about all of the locations we visited.
