Pass By: Major Marine Tours - Kenai Fjords Cruise, 1412 4th Ave Seward Boat Harbor, Seward, AK 99664
This 7.5 Hour Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise departs daily at 9:30 a.m. and returns at 5:00 p.m. The cruise will travel approximately 130 miles roundtrip through Resurrection Bay into Kenai Fjords National Park.
Since this cruise does go out into the open Gulf of Alaska it is not recommended for anyone who is prone to motion sickness. Our half-day Resurrection Bay cruises are much better options if motion sickness is a concern.

This 7.5 Hour Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise departs daily at 9:30 a.m. and returns at 5:00 p.m. The cruise will travel approximately 130 miles roundtrip through Resurrection Bay into Kenai Fjords National Park.
Pass By: Resurrection Bay, Seward, AK
We will cruise through the protected waters of Resurrection Bay, searching for wildlife and and enjoying spectacular scenery.
Pass By: Bear Glacier, Seward, AK
We will cruise by Bear Glacier, a piedmont glacier and the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park.
Pass By: Holgate Glacier, Kenai Peninsula, Seward, AK 99664
Our next stop is Holgate Glacier, another actively calving tidewater glacier. We will spend approximately 20 minutes in front of each glacier, floating among the icebergs as we watch for spectacular calving.
Stop At: Aialik Bay, Alaska, USA
After cruising through Resurrection Bay, we will round Cape Aialik (pronounced “I-al-ik) into Aialik Bay.
As we cruise into Aialik Bay you will get your first glimpse of Aialik Glacier, an active tidewater glacier. We will stop in front of the glacier and watch for calving, where large chunks of glacial ice break off and crash in to the water.
Pass By: Cape Resurrection, Alaska 99664, USA
Depending on the weather, we will cruise to the Chiswell Islands or Cape Resurrection, home to thousands of nesting Alaskan seabirds like puffins, kittiwakes, and cormorants. The captain will stop the boat very close to the nesting areas of the seabirds, which provides great photo opportunities. We will also visit Steller sea lion colonies, where Steller sea lions gather on the rugged, rocky coastline. Sea otters, bald eagles, and mountain goats are also commonly seen along the route.

Excellent adventure! The captain and the staff were knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. The cruise was action-packed with animal sightings. We saw an Orca, porpoises, otters, harbor seals, sea lions, jellyfish, both kinds of puffins, tons of other sea birds and we even saw a full whale breach. The scenery was outstanding. The day went by so quickly. The inside was comfy but we spent most of our time out on the deck. The food was good (and we are picky eaters). Spend the extra time and $$$ and take the 6+ hour cruise.Oh man where to begin. Our craft was new and very well maintained, the staff was cheerful, funny, and helpful, and the food/drinks were great. Loved this tour!! The boat was very nice. And they really have their system down! It felt like a very special experience. There were so many animals to see. The lunch was actually pretty good too. Their prices for on-board purchases were very fair. Be prepared if you get seasick. It got to all of us, mainly just making us sleepy. I would highly recommend this tour.If you're debating between getting the 6-hr tour and and 8.5 hour tour, get the 8.5! We saw the 6-hr cruise and it was really crowded. If you're debating between getting the 6-hr tour and and 8.5 hour tour, get the 8.5! We saw the 6-hr cruise and it was really crowded. With the 8.5 hr cruise, there were maybe 30 people on the boat. No one had to work to get a front row seat. It felt very personal and we absolutely loved it. We were asked we were most excited about seeing. I mentioned orcas and was told they were seen maybe one out of every four cruises (we went in the first week of September) because they had already started their migration south. We ended up surrounded by orcas! It was amazing. We also saw mountain goats, puffins, seals, sea lions, bald eagles, otters, dall's porpoise, etc.. everything! We spent a good amount of time at the northwest glacier with a few calving events, along with many other glaciers. The extra time lends itself to exploring and seeing what you can find. I highly recommend it, definitely something to cross off the bucket list! This was an exceptional experience with knowledge staff giving a lot of information all along the trip. This was an exceptional experience with knowledge staff giving a lot of information all along the trip. They were accommodating to the wildlife, stopped and stayed as long as we needed to enjoy whales, glaciers calving, etc. There were about 30 people on our boat which was about right for being able to view what we were seeing. I would recommend this company for your tours.Amazing day does not begin to describe our experience! We were blessed with an absolutely clear sunny warm September day with calm seas. Amazing day does not begin to describe our experience! We were blessed with an absolutely clear sunny warm September day with calm seas. We saw a mountain goat, a Super pod of Orca, Fin whales, porpoise, seals, and the list goes on. The Captain was great and crew was attenuative and helpful. Aialik Glacier was stunning. I wish we could have spent more time there but honestly I'm not sure I would have been satisfied however long we stayed. It was so beautiful and enthralling I just wanted to sit and listen and try to take it all in. I highly recommend Major Marine tours if you are considering a Kenai Fjords or Resurrection Bay tour out of Seward. They are a class act and provide an amazing experience.
