Stop At: Lao Conservation Trust for Wildlife, Ban Keun, Thoulakhom District, Vientiane Province, Laos
Meet and greet you driver at your hotel / guesthouse. The private drive to the Centre will take around 1h30 from Vientiane City.
Your Wildlife Professional will welcome you upon arrival at the Lao Conservation Trust for Wildlife. This is where the fun begins!
You will be taken on a guided walking tour to discover all the different species that the Centre has to offer. After the walking tour, you will be taken to the enrichment center.
This is a workshop where you put together some enrichment for the resident animals and after finishing the enrichment … you and the Wildlife Professional can give it to them!
Enrichment gives animals a creative outlet for physical activity and mental exercise, as well as choice and control over how they spend their time. YOU can be a part of improving the welfare of the animals by creating enrichment for them.
There are plenty of restaurants just across the centre to enjoy your well deserved lunch.
After lunch, a transfer back to your hotel.

Very cool place and super interesting tour. The staff and volunteers there clearly care about the animals and their welfare. I got to help create enrichment items and give them to the bears, which was awesome. Highly recommend!
