Overview
With this experiential tour to Monselice we’ll know better this walled city by which many writers, artists, and poets were inspired. We’ll visit the Castle of Monselice, a real treasure chest where ancient weapons, beautiful tapestries and marvellous furniture from all Italy are preserved. The family of the Carraresi from Padua, the Visconti from Milan, the Scaligeri from Verona and the Este from Ferrara are just some of the families and powerful Lords who tried to conquer the Castle and whom ghosts still haunt the rooms of the ancient manor house. During this walk, backwards the time, we’ll have a completely exclusive guided tour! We’ll walk up Via del Santuario, which is called the most beautiful panoramic promenade in the Venetian Region which, with its Villas and the seven Churches (who remind the seven Churches of Rome), is a unique beauty. The most famous monument of the walled city is also known by the name of Castello Cini. Currently, the monument is owned by the Veneto Region, which has converted its intended use in a prestigious museum. Inside the castle area preserved a real treasure like ancient weapons, beautiful tapestries and marvellous furniture from all Italy.

Villa Duodo, also known as the Villa Valier, is attributed to the architect Vincenzo Scamozzi and was built for a Venetian patrician, Francesco Duodo, circa 1592. Sited high on the rocca of Monselice, the villa, which shows Palladian influences, has two "L"-shaped blocks forming a rectangular courtyard. Near to the villa, a church dedicated to San Giorgio, which is the last and biggest church completing a "sacred route" of pilgrimage which rises from the town center to the top of the Rocca hill.

Bello il Castello e la collezione Cini, visita dettagliata, interni curatissimi. Da non perdere Villa Pisani, Santa Giustina e il belvedere. Il paese é davvero una stratificazione generi architettonici e di storia. Mi ha accompagnata Camilla: puntuale, preparata, disponibile e cordiale.
