Pass By: Koh Tao, Koh Tao, Surat Thani Province
Koh Tao is pretty much the archetype of a remote tropical island, with just enough places to eat, shop and stay to make it comfortable. There are few attractions other than the beautiful beaches. The island is home to some of Thailand’s best coastlines, with pristine white sand, nodding palm trees and glittering blue seas. There are many to choose from, most of which are accessible along the small and rather rough road network.
Other than beaches, there are a few very nice viewpoints that are worth seeing, some of which are so iconic that they might even be the first thing you think of when you picture Thailand. Koh Tao is also famous for its diving, which is said to be among the best in the world.
Stop At: Nang Yuan Island, Surat Thani, Thailand
(2 Hours) Koh Nangyuan is actually a group of 3 tiny islets off Koh Tao’s northwest coast. You can get to them by Royal Mariblue one day trip. The beach that links the islands together is iconic and probably the most photographed part of the area. Naturally, the small beach.
(1 Hours) Japanese Gardens On the incredibly beautiful island of Koh Nang Yuan you will find the amazingly beautiful bay known as Japanese Gardens. So called due to the rich variety of coral and underwater fauna to be found spread over a large bay, here this dive site is the perfect place to either refresh oneself.

Mango Bay, also called Ao Muong Beach, is an fenomenal beautiful bay in Koh Tao with very good snorkeling opportunities. On both sides of the bay is coral and of course there are colourful fish swimming around. For snorkel lovers Mango Bay is therefore highly recommended! The beautiful beach is on the small side of the bay and is surrounded by lush green hills and boulders.

Hin Wong Bay is one of Koh Tao’s top beaches when it comes to snorkeling! At a depth of one meter you already have a chance to see large schools of fish and the water is super clear! You can go with Royal Mariblue. At Hin Wong Bay you can snorkel from different places.

Stop At: Aow Leuk Bay, Koh Tao Thailand
Aow Leuk (or Ao Leuk) just has everything you could wish for a wonderful day at the beach! On the sides of the small bay you can snorkel super good. To see the many colorful fish you only have to take 3 steps in the water. It is therefore also suitable for children or the novice snorkeler.

(1 Hour) Shake Bay Koh Tao is a popular snorkeling spot for watching blacktip reef sharks and turtles on a tropical island.

This tour is well worth the extra money! It was fantastic! We booked it because it looked like a smaller tour than most of the other snorkel tour operators (we had 10 total guests; most other boats we saw had upwards of 70). And even that detail alone would have been enough to make sure think it was worth it--but Royal Mariblue exceeded our expectations. The boat was very comfortable, and the crew took such good care of us. At the first stop, the crew took us through the national park payment turnstile (most of the other operators didn't seem to pay for your entry, entry was included with Royal Mariblue). Then they took us to a spot where we could leave our things and they would stay with them while we either went in the ocean or hiked up to the view point. They recommended we snorkle first because there was a line at the viewpoint. While some of the crew guarded our belongings, others took us in the ocean and found the sharks and made sure everyone go to see them. They were constantly keeping tabs on us and making sure we were safe, not lost, and having fun. Later, when we were in the bay with the big turtles, they also made sure everyone got to see if the turtles if they wanted to. They served us lunch, which was delicious. One of the later stops, in a more secluded bay, they set out a paddleboard and kayak and we took turns. Then at the sunset spot, they served satay and refreshing mojito mocktails (no alcohol). The crew seemed really happy, and like they were enjoying themselves. My friend and I spent 9 days island hopping between Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, and Koh Samui, and our tour with Royal Mariblue was definitely one of the highlights from the trip. At the end of the tour, the crew collected everyone's WhatsApp contact info and sent all the GoPro videos and pictures they had taken throughout the trip; so even if you don't bring an underwater camera, you'll be able to get photos of the sharks, turtle, fish and yourself swimming with them!bananalamajana

Such an excellent day! Would 1000% recommend to anyone who wants to snorkel and see some of the magical animals Thailand has to offer. Small and intimate group size. The staff are incredibly helpful and lovely. They picked us up from our hotel promptly, provided lunch, drinks and bbq. They took heaps of photos of us and sent them all through for free. We went to all the hot spots but at times that weren’t too busy so we weren’t overrun by other groups. This was all thanks for our cheerful captain who instinctively knew when was the right time to visit each spot while hopping along to some of his favourite songs. We saw sharks, turtles and loads of colourful fish. Such an excellent experience. Book, you won’t regret it.
