We had unexpected snow on the day of our excursion, with near white out driving conditions to the site for the cave and a difficult hike from the parking stop climbing through the snow to get to the cave. That said : the guide was excellent and tried to keep me in the group despite my slower pace and balance concerns, and even took a wonderful souvenir photo to commemorate the adventure. I would not recommend this for most people not in good shape and with the proper equipment ( water proof hiking boots for normal weather, and snow gear for weather like we had ) : there was no option to avoid the sometimes steep climb ( made more difficult by the snow ).Eric was a wonderful guide and very attentive to everyone in our group. The opportunity of a lifetime and well worth every penny!

He told us a lot about the area and made sure to help us if anyone needed help. Most of the bridges had ropes to hold onto. The ice formations were incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend this activity.Absolutely amazing tour. The booking process was very easy and organized. Same goes for arrival and check in. Absolutely amazing tour. The booking process was very easy and organized. Same goes for arrival and check in. The super jeep was comfortable and our guide Bjorn kept us entertained throughout and played good tunes. Safety is definitely paramount, which was appreciated especially traveling with children. They have folks on the path constantly maintaining and checking for safety concerns throughout the day. The black crust pizza at the end was the perfect way to end and recap the adventure. Highly recommend. Also the town of Vik is very charming with lots of shops and the Black Sand Beach.Wow what an awesome experience. Probably the best part of our iceland trip. Loved every second of walking the glacier and hiking in the caves. Such a once in a lifetime kinda experience ! And it’s so beautiful… it’s unbelievable. If you’re coming to Iceland you have to try it, you won’t regret it.Visited with 2 adults, 2 teens and an 11 year old. Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed it. The ice cave and glacier itself was spectacular.
