This was an amazing experience. The family is so kind. Our guide was the daughter Carolina, but we met Orlando and Yolanda, her Mom & Dad. She explained how the family's 3rd generation farm has changed from using chemicals to only using organic materials. The views are stunning! We fed baby cows, their pretty white pig and a very curious white goat. The family's sweet dog followed us everywhere. We all took turns milking a very gentle cow with the help of farmer Orlando, while the dog and their kitty waited to be served the fresh milk. Yolanda took over to show us how to make fresh cheese from their milk and homemade tortillas, which we all hand flattened before she cooked them. We stayed for lunch prepared by Yolanda and it was typical CR casado, fresh and tasty served along with our cheese and tortillas. If you want to spend a few hours with a beautiful view, meet a truly kind family trying to make a difference in farming and like a fun interactive activity, please book this. It was one of the highlights of our time in Costa Rica.We booked this on a whim and couldn't have been happier. Our kids enjoyed it, but the parents even more. The farm tour was informative. The kids fed a bottle to a calf, milked a cow and then enjoyed warm, fresh cocoa. Fresh homemade cheese and tortillas -- amazing. I wish we could go back.

Our 2 nights at the Paradise Farm was my favorite part of my vacation. After spending 5 nights down at the beaches, it felt so good to get into the mountains. The house was comfortable and had everything we need. It was a quick drive to Monteverde Natl Park. I suggest getting to the park a few minutes before it opens to be 1st on the trails. The dinner we had at the Paradise farm was my favorite meal of the trip. Most of the ingredients came from the farm. We even watched the cheese making process before eating it. The sunsets were on par with the most beautiful sunsets Ive ever seen in my life, and its a perfect view from where you eat. You can be independent or hang out with the family here and either way its a lovely stay. I highly recommend hanging out with these locals and getting to know their way of life. You know when its lightly raining, like a mist, but the sun is still shining brightly. Its one of those weather moments that just feel incredible. We had that weather both nights. Ad that feeling sort of sums up my stay here.
