We'll explore some of the coolest wine bars in the Toulouse city center and discover the little-known wine regions of SW France. Learn wine tasting
techniques in a fun and relaxed atmosphere where questions are encouraged!
We'll taste the unique grape varieties like Négrette, Mauzac, or Braucol, while savoring locally-produced charcuterie and cheeses. Guided by a certified French Wine Scholar, you'll develop your wine vocabulary and increase your confidence so you know what you like and are comfortable ordering wine in any situation.
Please note that a minimum of 2 participants is required to run this tour.
Inclusions
- Alcoholic Beverages - Each guest will receive the equivalent of approximately 3 glasses of wine.
- Snacks - At one of the stops, we'll share a cheese and charcuterie platter (or other light nibbles) to go with the wine.
What to expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Toulouse, Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, Occitanie
We'll be walking through the picturesque city center of Toulouse, with approximately 45 minute stops at 2-3 of the best wine bars in the Toulouse city center, chosen after lots of testing (and tasting). We won't spoil the surprise about which ones - especially since they change based on availability and seasonality.

Pass By: Place De La Bourse, Rue De La Bourse, 31000, Toulouse France
We'll visit a wine bar located on the tree-shaded square of the Place de la Bourse, popular with locals for the terrace dining.
Pass By: Marche des Carmes, 1 Place des Carmes, 31000, Toulouse France
We'll also visit a wine bar that looks on to the bustling square around the Marché des Carmes.

At the beginning of October we booked the Wine Bar Tour with the provider Taste of Toulouse, which was recommended to us via TripAdvisor. The recommendation exceeded our expectations. Jessica took us on a culinary journey of over 2 hours, tasting selected wines and regional products in 3 different wine bars. Wines from the Gaillac or Fronton were previously unknown to us. With her very sympathetic nature, Jessica shared her knowledge with us and broadened our wine horizons. A great experience! After the tour you will receive a summary of the tasting and more tips around Toulouse. We highly recommend the Wine Bar Tour. This is the second tour I did with Taste of Toulouse, and the excellent host Jessica. As with the tour of the Marché Victor Hugo, I much enjoyed the visit. The selection of bars as well as the route taken was very well chosen. It was clear that the bars themselves much appreciated our visit and provided us typical Toulousain hospitality, as well as an excellent selection of wine and food (special shout out to Maison Sarment, who even introduced us to to me unknown and delicious charcuteries, and provided the best one ever!).I was one of the best experiences I had in my trip. Jessica is a lovely person, very good to explain and help us choose the wines. This should be on everyone's list of things to do in Toulouse. It's definitely worth it.
