Stop At: Tamanique Waterfalls, Tamanique El Salvador
Just few minutes away from the beach, are a series of fun, crystal spring waterfalls that deserve your visit.
Tamanique waterfalls is an adventure of 1 hour drive from San Salvador. It requires a hike so please be prepared for a steep walk and bring good footwear. It takes about 30 minutes to hike down to the waterfalls from town. On the way, let the locals regale you with stories of years living in a surf paradise. Then dive into the cool pools and take a break from the tropical heat.

Stop At: Playa El Tunco, El Tunco El Salvador
El Tunco El Salvador is one of the most famous beaches in the country; and also one of the top surfing spots in El Salvador and all of Central America. This surf village, with only two streets, is famous for its excellent surfing, striking sunsets, and weekend parties.
Year after year, surfers and non-surfers from many countries visit El Tunco to take advantage of the excellent waves and everything else it has to offer.

It was the first time I ever hiked so it was scary at first. But Josué and Freddy reassured me I was okay. They helped direct were I should step because my balance was not so great at times. We went to El Tunco beach it was nice. Josué showed us place to see and eat very fun. My family and I loved it. We went on several tours with El Salvador Positive Tours during our stay in El Salvador and everyone of the tour guides provided a wonderful experience. The Tamanique Waterfall complex was no exception and is a breathtaking area nestled at the bottom of a difficult climb. This hike is not for everyone and I strongly recommend taking that into consideration before embarking. El Tunco was a great beach town to visit and the Pacific Ocean was exceptionally warm when traveling from the northeast US in March! Overall I would highly recommend this tour and Josue was a wonderful guide for the second time during our stay in El Salvador!
