I use this all the time so now have the app and catching up on reviews. I did this tour a good while ago and always meant to do a review. It was definitely up there as one of the best days of my life, could not have enjoyed it more. I was a complete novice on motorbikes. Emailed in advance that I had never ridden before, but was assured it was okay. We practiced getting used to the bikes for about half an hour, when we are all ready and used to the bikes. Was a group of just 3 of us as beginners, we went off with our guide across the countryside, seeing loads and some routes were good for our level and some were a trial by fire, however none were too difficult and the guide is very patient and helpful. And the feeling is great when you make it to the top of something you would have thought impassable. You stop half way through the day in a little village by some falls and have lunch, carry on the day riding through a mix of county and more jungle type areas. Even get the bikes on a small traditional river boat and jump off to ride other areas. Some amazing GoPro footage. You end the day feeling an expert on the bikes and then we had a few beers, with the owner and the other tour for the experienced guys and chatted for a couple hours. All great fun, I loved it, could not recommend moreI went for a full day tour. This was without a doubt the highlight of my travel in Cambodia. I went for a full day tour. This was without a doubt the highlight of my travel in Cambodia. The staff was friendly and helpful, we got all the gear needed and good food in the middle of the day. We started off on easy terrain and then more and more rough terrain as we got more confident with the bikes. The guide know every trail in the area so he could choose trails that fitted our level. It got very hot so the stop at the waterfall was perfect for cooling of in the water.Did a day tour with our guide Francois, whom was excellent with safety always number 1 factor, also if you didn't fancy doing any of the tricky bits he would do it for you. Did a day tour with our guide Francois, whom was excellent with safety always number 1 factor, also if you didn't fancy doing any of the tricky bits he would do it for you. You start on an amateur course then it gradually gets harder, through forest, water, sand and rocks.....stopping off at a village with a waterfall for a good lunch. Unfortunately my bike had a puncture then the battery was loose but these things you have to expect sometimes doing this kind of thing, and nobody's to blame, but they have a top mechanic on hand! You receive full biking equipment, helmet, gloves, boots, body amour and trousers and top! This was one of my highlights of Cambodia and a personal goal after being badly injured in a motorbike crash 10 years ago..... BOOK THEM you won't regret it. Tip: bring plenty of water (2-4 litres) you will need it, and your camera. We booked a 5 day (4 night) tour along the Cambodian coast and around Kampot and Kep area. We booked a 5 day (4 night) tour along the Cambodian coast and around Kampot and Kep area. We are 3 older guys 55+ and although experienced riding bikes we didn't want anything too demanding and we were really just looking for an off road tour to see more of Cambodia. The stay dogs team looked after us really well and we had a great trip over 5 days and enjoyed every minute of it. The trip up Bokor mountain was a real high light as we got a clear day which apparently is unusual and got a great view of the coast from the mountain top. They arranged some good budget accommodation and meals on tour and the whole trip was well organised and we could go at a pace that suited us which was great. The Ream beach guesthouse was a great find and we loved staying there. its right on the beach front and in a lovely quiet location....well done stray dog !!! And try the hand pulled noodles in Kampot, they are really good and so cheap. Our tour guide Francisco is a great guy and looked after us very well and showed us some great locations along the Cambodian coast, and he kept us old guys on our toes with a few challenging tracks and a river crossing here and there.... great fun Thanks Francisco, job well done and keep up the good work..... Best regards from the old guys, Barry, Rex & Phil I cannot speak more highly of Stray Dog Adventures and would be more than happy to use then again and recommend them to anyone looking for an off road adventure in Cambodia.I know Shiran and Francois since April 2013, and many times, I've considered it as a chance. I know Shiran and Francois since April 2013, and many times, I've considered it as a chance. Great guys, chilled out and serious at the same time, they manage the Straydog Adventures business with unlimited care, passion and dedication. I've done few rides with them around Sihanoukville and Kampot, all being great experiences as they've both got an extensive knowledge about the trails around. I recently had the opportunity to do a hell of a crazy tour : Siem Reap --> Sihanoukville - via the Cardamoms mountains. For those who may not know much about Cambodia, it is quite of a dream tour. It all started with the preparation of it. A lot of work. Either Shiran is able to manage millions of things in his head, either he comes from another galaxy cluster. I'm 85% positive, he's an earthling. This was a great experience, going through the authentic Cambodia, beautiful places, villages, dirt trails, jungle, and so on. Ecstatic quiet rides, some a bit more sporty, but all of them massively funny. There have been few hard moments, but were we not looking for some adventure? And some adventures, there are quite a lot to go through, here. I will never forget that bamboo raft that we built, in order to cross a river in the jungle. Shiran never EVER gives up, when I have to confess that I would have. He was behind every bike, lifting, pushing, helping, encouraging. Impressive karma, my friend! I do deeply recommend these guys if you're looking for great fun. They will organize a tailor made tour according to your level and expectations, ensuring that you get the fun that you're looking for, making sure that everybody's safe, comfortable and enjoying the ride. A special shout out to my mate Francois : 'CAUSE I'M A ROCK STAAAAAR...!After getting conned on a tuk tuk town tour and lack of wind for a sailing trip my friend and i were pissed off with this place in the first few hours, my Canadian friend said about trail riding with stray dog adventures, i have ridden bikes all my life on and off road, my friend had ridden a sco...
After getting conned on a tuk tuk town tour and lack of wind for a sailing trip my friend and i were pissed off with this place in the first few hours, my Canadian friend said about trail riding with stray dog adventures, i have ridden bikes all my life on and off road, my friend had ridden a scooter once or twice, Shirahn was our guide for the day we got suited and booted in all the right gear i jumped on a yzf 250f and my friend had the crf 250f, they both were well maintained as i look out for these sort of things, we set off through the town heading for the national park, taring through small trails, across deep rivers, over muddy ruts and even under some trees,, This has been the best trip i have done in Asia, Tested us both to the limit physically and mentally, the sights and adrenalin was like nothing before, a full days riding and back to HQ sharing beers laughing about our adventure this day, A must tour for anyone seeking that adrenalin buzzz!! Thanks again and sorry took so long to write up a review has prepared me well for crazy Vietnam roads.
