“Esan” is an active volcano that is about an hour's drive from Hakodate.
It takes you to a different dimension world in a unique atmosphere created by the crater that raises rough rocks and smoke.
It is a mountain rich in nature that has been erupted about 50, 000 years ago.
It has been selected as one hundred new mountains in Japan, one hundred mountains in Hokkaido, and one hundred mountains in Hokkaido.
Promenade and stairs are well maintained, making it easy to climb.
The Pacific Ocean seen from the top is superb!
2 hours by car and 3 hours for hiking (30 minutes break on the way).

We will pick you up.
Head to Esan by car.
It takes 50-60 minutes one way from Hakodate city.
Begin hiking from the starting point of Esan.
I will hike for about 3 hours.
There is a snack break of about 30 minutes along the way.
Comes with water and snacks.
Guides that can speak English.
You can enjoy seasonal nature and flowers.
Azaleas are beautiful in spring and autumn leaves are beautiful.
Return trips will also be sent to hotels and designated locations in Hakodate city.
