He was also very gracious and brought us to a lovely cafe and treated us to the most wonderful Moroccan mint tea. Additionally he made time to show us a bakery we had heard about in the charming Habous quarter as well as toured that area, providing various insights on its development. This was a great way to get to see and experience Casablanca as newbies to the city with a private guide. Our guide, Issam, was fluent in English, friendly, courteous and punctual with a lot of knowledge of history of Casablanca and its major sights. It was a great way to cover a lot of ground in 5 hours and also experience some local markets and taste some food. He was happy to include a few pit stops of interest to us. Highly recommend for people who don't want to coral in a large group and want a more authentic and boutique experience. Isaam is a very knowlgeable, friendly, and engaging guide. He is a local, and he gave us insights into the city, the people, and the culture of Casablanca and Morroco. No questions were off limits, and Isaam gave us thoughtful and nuanced answers. His English is impeccable. Isaam was very responsive to our interests and provided great recommendations for the rest of our time in Morocco. When we asked about spices, he not only took us to the right market area, but to the stall that had room for us to easily walk around and he gave us guidance on what to buy - we can't wait to cook at home and raise a glass to him. At our request, he joined us for a wonderful lunch, and we couldn't have been happier with what he selected for us to try, and the stories he shared about his family's meals and celebrations. We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to his city. When coming to a new city we are always excited about seeing the main attractions of the city but also we are keen to learn about the culture, history and essence of the place. When coming to a new city we are always excited about seeing the main attractions of the city but also we are keen to learn about the culture, history and essence of the place. Our guide Mounir ticked every box for us and more. What an incredibly cheerful, kind, attentive and knowledgable guide. The pace of the tour was perfect, and we covered a lot of ground and attractions. Our driver Amin was also just wonderful. Mounir showed us the true essence of the city and answered every question we had right down to whether he feels optimistic about the future of Morocco. His language skills are perfect and his manner is beautifully suited to ensuring that his clients have a wonderful day. We loved the trip and could not recommend this tour more highly. If possible ask for Mounir… you won’t regret it.
