Our guide, Guilia, was great. Portofino and Santa Margherita are stunning. Be aware that it is a lot of walking uphill and down, and it was very hot when we went in July. Both towns are so small you really wouldn’t even need a guide, definitely not for all day. Guilia, did explain much of the history and culture, and bought us yummy pastries to try from a local bake shop. If you go when it’s hot, I’d suggest bringing bathing suits and going to the beach to cool off! You can also rent boats, kayaks, or paddle boards. We had a wonderful time with Flavio! He was knowledgeable and passionate about the history and architecture of the area. We were so happy that we had the private tour.
