My husband and I went on this 7am hike with Matt. I’m grateful Matt was with us because I started feeling nauseous after first strenuous section of trail. He immediately had us take a break in the shade and gave me electrolytes. From then on, we took the trail slowly with many breaks. I’m 43, very active A-level tennis player, and very competitive. I was pretty down on myself but Matt was so encouraging and explained that we were a team and I shouldn’t compare myself to other hikers cruising past us. The desert is no joke, and neither is this hike. But with Matt and my husband’s help, I was able to conquer the physical and mental challenges of this trail and reach summit. Such a great feeling! What beautiful views! Thank you Matt. This is an adventure we will never forget. We couldn’t have done it without you! Highly recommend your company to anyone considering this hike.Matt was an amazing, extremely personable and prepared guide that provided us with a ton of historical information about Arizona, the mountain and even other areas related to hiking and the surrounding areas.
