Wildlife viewing location to possibly see bears, bald eagles, salmon, seals, blue herons, stellar jays and Canadian geese. Wildlife varies based on time of season.
This location is a common feeding ground for many various wildlife making it a perfect location for wildlife viewing anytime of the day!

Here we explore tide pools of the coastal inner passage for possible crabs, sea anemones, purple and orange starfish, sea urchins and possibly see whales swimming through the passage!

Stop At: Saxman Native Village, 2706 S Tongass Hwy, Ketchikan, AK 99901-9509
Journey into the past with a guided tour through Saxman Native Village. This relaxing and peaceful walk will bring you up close to the beauty and detail of the totem poles created by the Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian tribes. Our guides explain the legends of each totem pole, carving details and symbolism. There is also a carving center on-site, where these totem poles are created, allowing you a closer view of the tools and process involved and possibly see a master carver at work!
